> 3 dayThe headphone sound quality was not as good as some reviews suggested. I found it very lacking at the upper frequency range. The bass was just okay. My Sony Pro Studio phones were much better for less money.

Greater than one weekWOW is all I have to say. Ive always had a headset/mic combo for both gaming and listening to music on my PC. I kept reading recommendations for this and I have to say Im not disappointed with my purchase whatsoever. I paired it with a FiiO E10K and an old clip on microphone I had and Im extremely happy with the sound quality while gaming and listening to music.

Greater than one weekThese are great entry level headphones. Great price. They can be worn for hours without getting uncomfortable. Low clamp force. Build quality is good for this price point. Sound is very good for the price. Very neutral headphone. Not for bass heads, but if you like midrange/vocals/classical these are great. The highs are not harsh at all. Very pleasant sounding, even at high volumes. They dont need an amp. Can plug directly into phone/computer. They come with a shorter cord and longer one. Great headphone. Be warned: they will leave you curious about the sennheiser 600s though. Be prepared to loosen your wallet in the future.

12-06-2025Ive tried doing an extensive review of this headset several times in which I contrast this set of cans with others and Amazon has refused to publish it. So Ill just say that these cans sound great, are lightweight, moderately comfortable, the build (especially the headband) is a little cheesy ... thats about it.

09-06-2025If you have the HD 558, then skip these headphones. If you want a slight upgrade and you dont really care about money, I think the leather on top is a nicer touch than the HD 558s cloth or whatever its made of.

> 3 dayUtterly perfect clarity, fit, and quality. Ive come to expect nothing less from Sennheiser, having owned at least five different products of theirs, and these headphones are no exception.

> 3 dayReceived these as a birthday gift. Being new to open-backed headphones I wasnt really sure what to expect. Others have said the bass isnt the best, but I disagree. While its not thumping its more than powerful enough. Its very solid, crisp and clear; you can almost hear the bassists fingers on the strings. You can crank them pretty loud without much, if any distortion. Ive listened to pretty much the entire spectrum of music and it all sounds phenomenal. The only thing they dont do super great is the mids can be a bit muddled, but I have a feeling I just havent quite figured out the mix yet. I havent had them for very long. As others have posted you definitely need an amp to get the best out of these. Im just running them through a 14 year old Sony receiver that has been in my basement for a while and they sound great, but when plugged directly into a computer/phone theres definitely something to be desired. Also others have stated that theyre not really meant for public use as they can be quite loud because of the open-back. And lets face it, no one wants to listen to your vintage Cat Stevens with you while youre at work. As far as comfort goes. Ive had them on for about 6 hours today alone and theyre still super comfortable. The velour ear cups are very soft. I have a somewhat large head and they dont clamp on like some others Ive tried on. I have average sized ears and they fit entirely over them which is nice which definitely adds to the comfort. The headband needs to be broken in a bit, but has been comfortable as well especially considering I have very short hair, so theyre basically right on my scalp and still comfortable. The only thing I could really nit-pick is the cord is a full 3m, 10 feet long and not coiled, so it can get in the way a bit and caught under a rolling chair, but thats really it. Overall Im extremely pleased with this pair of cans.

> 3 daySince several years I own a few Koss Porta Pro headphones. And meaby you dont believe this, but these are really really fantastic good. They dont have the looks of this sennheiser but the sound of this small headphone is for me amazing. If you know that the koss is much cheaper than it was meaby a little bit foolish to buy this sennheiser. For me the soound quality of both is rather equal. Built quality and looks of the Senheiser is on the other side for me much better. And yes, the Koss is also very nice to wear. The comfort even for long listening sessions is very good. I should say, even better than his bigger competitor. So the choice is yours. http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00001P4ZH?keywords=koss%20porta%20pro&qid=1451862016&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1 -> price €36 http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B006QR8W6K?keywords=koss%20porta%20pro&qid=1451862016&ref_=sr_1_3&sr=8-3 -> price with microphone -> €59. I own them all.
