Sennheiser HD 598 Special Edition Over-Ear Headphones - Black (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I had been using an old pair of Sennheiser HD 455 Headphones (open back) circa 1995 and which have served me well over the past number of years, but regretfully in need of repair. When I saw the HD 598 SE being offered it was a no brainer to go for an upgrade especially as they were on offer at £75.00 in the Black Friday deal. Having now used them for several weeks, the HD598 SE which are also open back are an improvement, giving more clarity to the music I am listening to.

Love these, they are so comfortable and the sound is great!

Superb sound for the price. I do not care it is wired, because I have an Iphone 6. I had the opportunity to compare it with the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 , and for a third of the price I felt better sound quality. It is my personal opinion.I compare

I would definitely not consider myself an audiophile, but the clarity provided by these headphones are great. I have noticed sounds on tracks that I have not noticed with other headphones.

Going from a $150 7.1 surround headset to these, I didnt know what to expect. What I got was some of the best headphones Ive ever owned. While they wont help as well for gaming where you may want to hear directional sound, they pick up a much higher range of audio. You will hear things in your music that you didnt before, and can pick out individual instruments. No amp needed, as the impedance is low enough that most motherboards or phones can overcome it.

Pros ++Son muy cómodos puedes pasar horas con ellos y fatigan muy poco. ++el Diseño se me hace elegante. ++cuenta con cables de alimentación de dos medidas uno muy largo como para ser conectado a un amplificador y tenerlos en casa y otro como para ser usado en el escritorio de la oficina teniendo muy cerca la fuente de música, Contras, ++Como los reviews en internet dicen, su diseño no es para se usados en ambientes ruidosos ya que no te aíslan del sonido exterior, lo cual puede ser muy util si los usas en la oficina donde tienes que escuchar el telefono o al compañero de un lado. ++ No son discretos su diseño abierto permite que los demas escuchen lo mismo que tu si el volumen esta muy alto. ++ Son grandes pero eso es el costo de la comodidad, ya que no aplastan tus orejas se apoyan directo sobre tu cabeza. Son mis primeros audífonos de alta gama, los compre por recomendación de un audiofilo ( Mi jefe) y han sido lo que esperaba, los he estado utilizando por el momento solo para música y me parecen excepcionales. Estoy seguro que con mas billetes juntos se podrás conseguir algo de una mayor calidad, lujo y materiales mas caros, pero sinceramente si deseas empezar en esto del audio de alta calidad son una buena opción ya que el precio no es demasiado elevado y mas aun si se considera la marca a la que pertenecen. Los he probado conectados directo a mi laptop ( HP con Beatsaudio) con la computadora a toda o que da se logra un volumen fuerte pero no extremo. Usándolo con un amplificador portatil Fiio Mont Blanc ( que me presto mi jefe XD ) con solo el 20 % de la capacidad se logra el mismo volumen que con la pc a todo lo que da, si te gusta la musica en un volumen ensordecedor definitivamente piensa en comprar un amplificador portátil. He usado los audifonos con musica que frece TIDAL en su version HiFI y definitivamente hay diferencia contra los MP3 comunes. Es facil sentirse inmerso en el sonido con estos audífonos. When it comes to sound stage these headphones deliver. They fit wonderfully and produce amazing sound. you can use them for hours without any discomfort. with that said they would be the perfect pair of daily use headphones if it werent for the sound leak . I cant take them on the train, to the office or use them late at night when the kids are a sleep.

Extremely comfortable, amazing detail, excellent soundstage and goes well deep in the low end. Can wear these for hours and forget Im wearing them. Definitely get a good amp for these, theyll shine their best. Would highly recommend them!

Amazing headphones

It really is super comfy! like hours of use and it still feels like the touch of sweet women around your ears. The sound is definitely to be reckoned with and i like how there is a left and right indicator. I am going to get a DAC and i can t imagine how it will sound with that. Great buy!
