> 3 dayThe headphones are great, dont get me wrong however I currently own a logitech G930, Razer carcharias, and a Turtle beach Sentinel and with the price on this headset I was hoping that it would blow my current set up out of the water. They do and are better sound but maybe at a 20-30% performance boost. With how much they cost and quality / expectation Sennheiser has I was hoping for something much more.

> 3 dayPrimera cosa que dire es que estos auriculares son muy comodos y son de muy buena calidad. Eso si, tengo que decir que los compre a 138€ pero creo que sin descuento aun valen la pena. La calidad de sonido no es espectacular, lo mejor de estos auriculares como he dicho son que son comodos, ligeros, y un buen diseño.

> 3 dayEdit 23 Aug 2017 - Ive been using these headphones for some time now. I really like the upper end sound staging and the openness. They arent boxy sounding, and I feel less isolated. As theyve broken in, they have better bass response, but really suit critically listening to detail in the lower end frequencies. I especially like the velour pads, and Ive added a makeshift velour pad to the headband because the plastic covering had started to harden. Ive more recently combined them with a plug in bluetooth module (with microphone) specifically made with Sennheisers 2.5 mm dual mono plug (works with this model and others), and being cord-free with these phones is a real treat. Edit 10 Mar 2016 - Ive given these cans a 30 hour break-in now. They have loosened up a bit, and I find that bottom frequencies arent as lacking as when the headphones were new. They still dont hit the bottom octave as hard as closed headphones, e.g., B&W P5 or Beyerdynamic CP1, and to really hear those frequencies, the volume has to be at a level that others would hear (in a quiet office), but theyre very pleasant and dont cause me listener fatigue or physical irritation. They still sound better through a higher-powered output device, but the igadgets and Android device Ive tried work well enough for casual listening. Make no mistake - these are good headphones, and I now use them M-F, every day (theyve replaced my open back Koss UR40s). Ive added a bit of soft material over the headband cushion, because that material hardens after long-term use. The velour ear pads are awesome. Also as a side note, the set I received from Amazon authenticated fine on Sennheisers check site for my Black Friday special purchase. Got these on a black Friday deal. There are a lot of terms that are used to describe headphones that lack bass response, but to sum it up: they are thin and lack punch. They are too inefficient to really use with mobile phone devices (except very low volume), and that, combined with the open back design means they really suffer for true full range response. The quoted frequency response range is misleading. Below 80 Hz, there is a vague lack, and below 35 Hz, a definite lack.. As an open back design, this is somewhat expected, and on that note, they are indeed airy. The upper end response is quite nice and reasonably balanced if a tad midrange shy - they are unlikely to cause listener fatigue and work well enough at low volume. Sadly, though, they may cause listener boredom for electronic music, or any music, really, with prominent bass and/or drum. Still, they work quite nicely for listening to podcasts, audiobooks, ambient stereo, violin, flute, chamber music, piano, or other recordings where lowest frequencies arent present or missed or where the soundstage is highlighted. In fact, the these headphones will mercilessly expose flat soundstage recordings (caveat auditor). They may also suit listeners with low frequency sensitivity. The headphones are comfortable and easy to wear all day. Sennheiser paid attention to design details, such as the removable and replaceable cord and velour earpads, and the fit and finish is commensurate with a product at this price point. A replaceable headband with velour would have been nice. For a mobile user, there are better alternatives available, as these arent really meant for on-the-go use (despite the short 3.5 mm plug cable thats also included). Theyre better suited to a quiet office environment, or listening at home. There is also sound-leakage, so those around you will hear your selections unless volume is very low.

> 3 dayIn the past 2 weeks, I have returned 2 pairs of headphones because of comfort issues. In one night, before any burn-in, I am incredibly excited about these. The sound is fantastic and the comfort is amazing. They are light and fit completely over my (rather large) ears. I am dancing in my chair while listening to these... I dont know what else to say. They are worth a try!

> 3 daythese headphones have been designed for great sound. they have thought about everything from the careful leaving out of a volume control, to the gold plated connection. they really pack a punch: the bass can make your spine vibrate and even the highest volumes dont damage the quality of the sound, except for sometimes at very high pitches at very very loud, it can become slightly tinny. they are also so comfortable that after a while you forget youre wearing them. i think that sennheiser would not dare damage their reputation by producing anything that wasnt up to their very high standards, and even if they made a bigger profit from this individual product, if the headphones werent up to standard, customers would think twice before buying from them again. overall, although you wont be absolutely blown away by the sound, they are worth twice what they are being sold for here and they are really great headphones if you are a music lover who isnt completely loaded.
