Sennheiser HD 600 - Audiophile Hi-Res Open Back Dynamic Headphone

I ordered these headphones for my home-studio. I was torn between these headphones and a pair of Shure 1440s. I feel Shure makes better microphones but you cant compare headphones and mics.

I have just one word to add to all the wonderful reviews the hd600 gets.... !!WOW!!

My setup consists of a PC playing high bit-rate MP3 files and various other sources fed through a DAC going into a Yamaha stereo receiver. I have these headphones plugged into the receiver. Try as I might I can not find any faults with these headphones. Others have said the fit is a little tight and that is true but I havent found it to be uncomfortable. The sound is detailed and accurate. I like it for all kinds of music. These headphones almost seem to disappear in the experience. If you want acres of headroom and bass you can feel then go play on the big sound system through heavy speakers in a large room. For headphones I dont see how you could do better than these.

These are terrific headphones. Very clean and highly detailed sound with a pretty good soundstage and presence. No coloring that I could detect at any range. Open back design is very light and comfortable.

Sound wonderful. Much better than I would have expected. Not perfect, but more appealing than my Beyer T1s so I found myself listening sometimes hours on end. Great value.

As a New York recording a mixing engineer Ive had the opportunity to listen to quite a few pairs of headphones. The Sennheiser HD600s are the clearest, fullest, and most balanced headphones Ive heard so far. While they wouldnt work for a performer in the studio because of the open-air design and considerable leakage, they have become a must-have as a mixing reference, especially when mixing in a new and unfamiliar room.

Collegate a un buon DAC e con dei SACD devo dire che forniscono un esperienza unica. Consigliate.

Si eres audiófilo y quieres tener unos auriculares prácticamente high end sin arrurinarte económicamente, esta puede ser la mejor opción. Yo los había escuchado con un amplificador y un previo para auriculares marca Musical Fidelity y quedé totalmente convencido, pero es que incluso en un amplificador Denon normalito el resultado es espectacular: realismo sonoro, sonido puro, limpio, vívido pero sin colorear, con todo el rango de frecuencias a tu disposición.

Sound Quality is incredible, and imaging is so good you can often times hear how the drummer has his kit set up. Its very close to neutral, but is the tiniest bit bright. The brightness is fine, though, as it doesnt irritate my ears. Comfort is the best ive ever experienced.
