Pro: Battery life is long enough to vac 14ft X 70ft (980 square feet) moble home. It takes up little space to store in a closet. I vacuum every few weeks and owed vac for 6 months. The inner filter looks brand new! The prep filters absorbs just about everything. I keep my dog trimmed. The vac picks up all trimmed hair. (Sorry I cant evaluate long matted pet hair due to shedding in carpets and sofas.) The power burst feature is a smart idea. It will pick small debris that regular setting missses. You pull a trigger to increase and decrease suction as needed. Battery can be detached and charged separately from unit. You can purchase extra batteries and have them changed in advance of use. It comes with the normal frequently used attachments. You can purchase other attachments separately from shark. Lights do help in darker spaces. The canister is larger than most stick vacs, but I do have to empty during a single use. I didnt buy this as a supplemental vac to an upright. I bought this instead of an upright. Con: The hardwood floor feature is useless. It doesnt pick up hardly anything. Use the carpet setting on hardwood and you will be fine. Paying $50 more to get 10 mins of extra run time is stupid. Buy and extra battery for $63. The attachments and stick are D shapped. If you want more attachments, you are basically forced to buy from shark due to shape. There is less suction than a normal upright, but to be fair it is good enough.

I bought this bad boy a couple of months ago, and have been waiting to write the review until Ive used it a while. Over the years Ive used a lot of vaccums. Ive always had large dogs, hate dog hair, and vacuum a few times a week - so always in pursuit of the best vacuum thats easy to use. Well, Ive found it! Shark is my fave brand anyway - I own 2 of the large numbers for deep cleaning (1 upstairs, 1 downstairs). And Ive had one of the early cordless models for easy pick ups & dog hair. NOW, I only need 1 - my new cordless Shark. It folds down and stores more easily than any other Ive owned. It is lightweight, and the swivel head w/light is highly maneuverable in and around furniture legs, and even under furniture. It picks up anything in its path and moves easily between hardwood, tile and carpet. The battery pack is easy to set on a shelf, keep plugged in, and reattach when needed. I like this much better than the large cradle style that sat on the floor for recharging. I see some folks have mentioned noisiness - well, its less noisy than any vac Ive ever owned but you do know the vac is running (not much diff than a heavy duty hair dryer). My main living area is about 1600 SF. I can deep clean all the floors (carpet, hardwood, tile) quite well with a single battery charge, and I vacuum several x each week due to the above mentioned dogs. The whole house is 2500 SF and I can hit all the main areas on a single charge. The settings are easy to shift, and I like the booster setting for extra suction when needed. It performs very well on carpet. And attachments go on and off easily for getting into the crevices. Ive not even bothered to used my big Sharks since I purchased this cordless. The top detaches easily for a hand held vac, which Ive used in my car and it works quite well.I got the upgraded model (the blue/gray one) because I wanted more attachments. Not sure it was worth it, but it was only a few dollars more, so, meh. I know a lot of ppl like their Dysons and other upper priced brands. But I cant imagine they perform any better, and the Shark is reasonably priced. A truly great product - thanks, Shark!!

Battery power: I was surprised at how little there was of it (how fast it runs out especially with power head and max suction. You might get 10 mins. Also the 3 bar life indicator is not as nice as a percentage mark and I wasn’t perceiving that would be a negative. If the battery was better I would have given it 5 stars. I also think it lacks a proper holder/ charger feature like dyson v series has. Pick up: The pick up is pretty good. It was keeping up with our 110v vacuum which is saying a lot. After vacuuming with the 110v unit, we vacuumed the carpet with the shark and it got more dust out. That said it definitely has less cfm airflow than sharks 110v model, so it’s not the most ideal for deep clean. I do like the convenience of not having to deal with a cord. 3. Overall pretty good for $300ish. If I prioritize the deepest clean I would have gotten a corded model. If I had needed more fancy convenience features I would have gotten their newest model, but this does almost the same job cheaper

This vacuum isnt perfect but performed well beyond my expectations. Its a million times better than my Dyson cordless. My only complaints/ cons are the battery life and lack of accessory storage. If you plan to use it on carpet, spend the extra money on a second battery. No static shock at all for me. The biggest complaint I read on here is static shock. I vacuumed my large carpeted bedroom twice with no issues. I even intentionally didnt touch the grounding bar on the handle with no shock at all. On the carpet setting and high suction, one pass in my large bedroom quickly brought the battery to 60%. I was able to do a second pass on the carpet, my large bathroom and stairs, both hard surfaces, all on high with a single battery. I was surprised to see how much power was lost on the carpet but my Dyson never worked on carpet at all even though it came with a carpet/ brush roller attachment. With only one carpeted room in my house, this will replace my traditional corded vacuum too. The two batteries are enough to do my entire 1500 sqft house with the suction on high and a single attachment for both carpet and hard surfaces. The hair free brush roller is a life saver! After two passes on the carpet, there were only a few of my wives hairs wrapped around the roller which were easily pulled off by hand. No more scissors to the brushes to cut half a head of hair off the rolled every other week. It would be nice to have a wall mount charger with tool storage like my Dyson has but its worth the trade off for a cordless vacuum that actually works. The Shark also has one handed tool change with the release button on the tool itself. Unlike the Dyson that requires both hands with the button being on the vacuum.

I ordered this vacuum and after a few uses, the vertex stick broke and wouldnt allow the vacuum to be unfolded in order to actually use it. I called shark ninja and they were mostly helpful. It was about $60 to get a new one as its not a covered part in their warranty. the power is decent for a cordless stick vacuum but the selling point for me is that i can fold this vacuum up and store it under a cabinet. thats something i cant do with my giant kirby

I like how light it is and how it Maneuvers. Since I have animals I like to use the high suction which makes the battery go dead very quickly. One of the batteries we have will only charge to 80%. I have hardwood floors kitchen living room and hallway, area rug in living room. Usually I can Vacuum my kitchen living room and hallway with one charge, but I can’t use it on the highest suction setting.

But not well built and not as good S the price would have you believe.

I have always been sceptical of cordless vacuums. But this one has great suction power and good battery life. Now everyone, even my 5 year old cleans up easy. Good buy. I wish it had more attachments, but I make do with what it came with.

I was a little skeptical about getting a cordless vacuum. My husband was the one that persuaded me to but it because we live in an older house with minimal outlets....so we are always unplugging something to plug in the vacuum. I am so glad he suggested this!!!! We did the research first...dyson vs shark. Was the price difference really worth the $$? I decided to get this shark for a few reasons. 1. removable battery- you can plug it in anywhere and store the vacuum out of sight. 2. attachments that came with it- we have a cat and dog....we clean often and the attachments that came with this make it easy to clean those hard to get (and forgotten) places like ceiling fans, behind doors, and under furniture. 3. it folds down for easier storage- our shark upright plug in vacuum is sometimes difficult to get out of the hall closet with all the coats hanging because the handle gets caught by a sleeve or something. This vacuum handle folds down to store easily under all those hanging coats. 4. lightweight to take up and down the stairs and light enough our 6yr old can use it and maneuver it easily 3. price point was in a reasonable range. The ONLY negative I have found is that the dirt compartment is kind of small......it holds about as much dirt as our Roomba. We have to empty it a lot more often than we do the corded vacuum. Its not that big of a deal but still somewhat annoying.

    Greater than one week

One of the best purchases I ever made! Wasn’t sure I needed the feature where the handle flattens out so you can go under things easily or the LED lights but I love both! I love the way the vacuum head is much smaller than a traditional vacuum because between that and being able to easily lay the handle flat you can get under just about anything! No more dust under the kitchen chairs. I can get all the way to the wall. No more broom and dustpan for sweeping the kitchen floor every night! The one thing I wondered about is how well does it edge? It does a great job! Love the roller brush. No more spitting things out. It also picks up larger pieces of things easily. My old vac I would have to stop and use the hose because my old vac just pushed it around. This one picks it right up. I did decide to get an extra battery just in case I ever need it. I vacuum my 1,500 square feet apartment and have never run out of battery. I really haven’t seen a negative yet. In my opinion. The extra features really are worth spending the extra money. I am so pleased with my purchase!
