> 24 hourEver had a cat that insists on sneaking around in your closet? What about a cat that uses your hanging clothes as a ladder sort of like in American Ninja - clawing, scratching, pulling threads until only shredded fabric is left? Thats been me for awhile. Ive been baffled by the fact that the closet doors are difficult for humans to open, getting caught on the rollers and what not. However, my bengal cat appears to have the strength of 5 humans and opens the doors with no difficulty at all. She apparently knows how to pull duct tape off the doors as well. I saw this sliding door lock on Amazon after researching tons of options. I decided to give it a try. It worked the first time and every time since. Its easy to install and highly effective. My cat has not gotten in the closet since the day I put it on. Now, if she evolves with posable thumbs, I may be in trouble but for right now, I am confident my clothes are safe from her razor sharp claws.

> 24 hourThis works exactly as intended, to stop my small children from opening the sliding back door. It definitely stops the door from opening. We have only had it for a couple of months, so not sure about the durability, it is hard plastic, so I dont anticipate that it will last a very long time, but I would just buy another. It was easy to install. There was a learning curve for unlocking it, it kind of gets stuck and since it is placed higher, you cant quite see how to unstick it. Once we got used to it, it is not a problem.

> 24 hour**UPDATE 6/5/2020** I have to take this down from 5 stars to three. We ended up having two of them rip off (not with us intentionally taking them off) the door and taking the paint off with them. And then when taking off the others the paint came off as well. They served their purpose well, and it could have just been because it’s old paint. But now we have to make sure all that is covered up for our move. -Original- We’ve had these up for a few months now. They work really well, the only issue is sometimes we forget they’re there and try to open then can’t (user error lol.) we got them because our cat had learned how to push open the sliding closet doors and we have smaller things we were afraid he could choke on in there. They do the job so well! Very easy installation. We haven’t had to take them off yet, will update when we do on whether paint comes off with it or not!

> 24 hourI have a sliding barn style door for my pantry that my daughter (2 yo) loved moving to the side to get into mischief. This is the perfect solution. Super easy to put up, easy to use, and keeps her out of potentially harmful places. Worth the purchase!

> 24 hourive been using these locks for almost six months without any problems! did some poking around for different locks to prevent my very smart, very curious little cat from getting into my closet. he had figured out that if he threw his body loudly and aggressively against the sliding doors, he could bump them enough to create just big enough of a gap, slide in his paw, and slither his way in to munch on all my clothes and shoes--and wake me up repeatedly throughout the night, in the process. these locks have turned out to be a total lifesaver. for security, i attached three of them, and they are so easy to lock/unlock whenever i need human access to my stuff. since i rent my apartment, im relieved to find a solution that i will one day be able to remove (even if it will take a little work). and, the neutral color blends in perfectly with the color of my closet doors. im stocking up on extras in the event they somehow malfunction or eventually un-stick from the doors. but, thus far, they have been incredibly secure.

> 24 hourI was looking for a sliding door lock that would keep my 3 year old from being able to open the door, was easy to install, and wouldnt leave let any damage to the door. This lock checked all those boxes. Its easy tonia tall, simple to use and does exactly what it claims to do. We have been using it for over a month with zero problems. After reading some reviews I made sure to position the lock right against the door so that it wont open at all, rather than a few inches back allowing the door to open a little. I think that is the key to the lock not falling off. I couldnt be happier with this product!

> 24 hourHave had one of these on a pocket door to our mudroom for about 9 months. In that time it’s twice somehow come partially open while the door was inside the pocket such that it gets caught on a stud inside the pocket. The first time only good about 5min to wiggle such that it became unlocked and would open, but this second time has lost me over an hour so far with no progress. Hitting a 1” opening 26” into a door pocket with a hanger so you can pull it unlocked requires a lot of luck. Probably going to uninstall it after this, but not sure what else to do to keep my 2 2y.o.s out of the mudroom. May try some Velcro inside the unit to keep it unlocked.

> 24 hourMy German Shepherd kept opening my sliding patio door, I installed a burglar bar, and after her watching me use it for about a week, she figured it out. So my friend suggested this, and I LOVE it!
