I have ordered two sets of these--one in August 2015 and another in February 2016 because I loved the first two sets so much. I have two kids ages 4 and 1.5 who love getting into things. Not in a bad way but my 1.5 year old loves to help by bringing me things. I also live in a smaller rambler so I cant always keep them out of rooms or places. Especially when my nanny and her two kids are over. So I needed some good solutions to closet storage. My 4 year old never got into things when she was a baby but oh man, my 1.5 year old sure does. These Sure Basics Sliding Door Locks are more powerful than you would think. I start by washing the spot where you want to put them and then letting that spot thoroughly dry. I held each one in place for around 30 seconds to a minute to get a good bond and then waited a day or so to actually use them. So, true mommy brain happened and I put my first two on backwards. Luckily they work just as well backwards as they do forwards. I really like how they are really small and after a while, I dont really notice them. They are easy to click into place and take off. So far, in the however many months Ive had them they work just as well as day 1 and havent broken or failed me yet! *Please note that although I review products at discounts often, I purchased this product for FULL PRICE. And not even just once, twice! I just wanted to write a review to recommend this to others.

We needed a way to lock our daughters closet so she wont play with her toys while shes supposed to be sleeping (including the choking hazard toys) and this is perfect! It was super easy to install, locks easily, and the door cannot be opened when the lock is engaged. Make sure to place it at or above adult height so kids cannot unlock it themselves.

Im giving this 4 stars because the first one I put up came off the next day. The tape just didnt hold. However, I let the lock sit for two days with the second one and it is holding on quite well. I put it as close to the slider as possible so that the toddler cant get any power or leverage on the lock. It is easy enough that my older child can unlock it easily to let the dog in and out and lock it right back so the toddler doesnt follow the dog out :) I think it needs more than a day to set up tight on the tape. Glad it came in a two pack :)

I love this item. Very easy to apply. My two year old son was repeatedly unlocking the sliding glass door and going outside. This little device does a very nice job of preventing him from getting out once he unlocks the door. I have peace of mind knowing that my son will not sneak outside without my knowledge. You can activate the lock by simply flipping the device to the lock position, which makes the door unable to slide open. If you want to open the door, simply pull out on the tab and the device flattens....allowing the door to slide open as usual. It dos not catch or make it any more difficult to open. This is a must have item for people with small children or just added security preventing intruders from entering your home.

My kitties liked opening the glass closet sliders and getting hair all over my clothes and now I can keep them out. Super simple to instal.
