> 3 dayJust tried, works as described totally and perfectly. However, it only works for 2.4GHz wifi. Major WIFI are 5G now, I am lucky my router still supports 2.4GHz wifi. But they are definitely great smart plugs.

> 3 dayKeeps constantly disconnecting, convoluted process to connect to Alexa, requiring an email address just to use… these plugs are pretty much worthless. Unless you need something quick, to hold you until you purchase decent ones, don’t bother. The other issues are workable, but no… constantly disconnecting is a no-no for a smart device. I only gave the extra star because its responsive at least 45-50% of the time.

> 3 dayIm using these to control the light and heat panels to my chicken house. I let them out in the day even in freezing weather so theres no sense in heating an open coop. So the heat comes on only when needed. Lights as well go off after a while so they can rest in winter without constant light. It also comes on at the same time signaling bedtime and they usually return to the coop voluntarily. I also can control it via the app remotely if I feel its super cold I cant turn the heat on from the house to allow them a warmer space to wait out the rain or what have you. I will surely find other uses as well, perhaps for pond features, turning them off at night to conserve energy, etc. Or in place of dusk to dawn feature with shed lighting that needs plugging in. Very impressed with the ease of the app set up and responsiveness of the devices. You can rename them to keep them straight. Not sure the hack ability but I figure hackers messing by with my chickens lights is the least of my concerns. Edit 8/6/22: removing a star only because these things are NOT every efficient. Were off grid so we were using these to turn lights on and off on a schedule for fowl and fans for hen houses, they burn too much energy just trying to stay connected to the WiFi. They are great for common houses attached to a grid that can just burn electricity all day and night, but they drain out batteries even when nothing is in use because the plug itself uses a electricity. A little disappointing but thats tech for you. I need something more basic that can run with little electrical use that wont drain my batteries before weve had a chance to use them for their intended purpose.

> 3 dayTL;DR - It works fine. now for the slightly longer portion of this.... the setup was a royal pain in the behind, it took forever to hop from one configuration application to another, but once you are done with this headache, you can remove the initial configuration app and have Alexa work with the plug. however to this day i havent been able to get google home to work with these, so i dont know where the claims come from that this works with Google home. so just a heads up. and for those who managed to get it to work, i salute you, i just dont have the time to sit there trying to get this to work when it should be a straight forward process. however once they are configured, they work fine and so far no fires
