Although not a fault of theirs, I want to warn others that if you have building wifi it may not be possible to connect this. My wifi has a login page and no access to a 2.4Ghz network and I made the foolish mistake of ordering this. Now I cant use it.

Purchased this item twice we loved it so much! Did not have to download a separate app - it just scans to the Apple Home App directly. Very reliable, only a rare occurrence does it need a split second to connect. Replaced old clicker version and couldnt be happier. Highly recommend.

Wasnt complicated. Out of the box, I use my iphone camera to scan the QR code located on the individual outlet. I then plug it in, by that time, my phone has already given me the prompt to open it in my Home. I then add it to whatever specific room, and give it a name. Nothing extra or special. Did NOT have to download the Meross app. My phone is then attached to a Homepod Mini which means we can control our lights, sockets, etc while away from home, not just while close to the object. Both my husbands phone and my phone have the same home so we can both control everything. Overall ... set up of these was as it should be, scan and go. Easy peasy. (In the photo, our livingroom table lamp is attached to this outlet ... so I set it up as a light and not an outlet)

The smart plugs do work with HomeKit, but I continually have to turn them off manually. Had the reset the plugs before I could get the plugs available to use with HomeKit.

I purchased this because the width was small. This will be placed in an outdoor waterproof box. Setup was mixed. I turned off the 5g WiFi. The eHomeLife app would not recognize the devices. Went to apple home kit, scanned the QR code, and was done and working in under a minute. Then the eHomeLife app recognized the devices and I was able to update the firmware. So far so good. I would definitely recommend these devices.

The Google device comparability is a little unreliable. You have to download an app for these outlets. Setup did not go smoothly. One of the outlets would not set up, but after I had left it alone for a while, it just worked. I keep getting prompted to install new firmware, but an unable. Theres a QR code on the outlet that doesnt work right and takes you to a Google search that takes you to an h&m product. Pretty sure that wasnt supposed to happen. The lights I have plugged in to these outlets sometimes turn themselves off on their own. Basically it works, but I wish I had paid double for the Phillips product, so it could work better, along with the various hue products I use.

    Greater than one week

The product works, but it’s kinda annoying how it works. You have to download the app for it, and it had me download Apple home. It works with Siri which is great. The really annoying part is you have to be on the same Wi-Fi as the plug. So you can’t be out and need to turn it off. You have to be near the plug to work the app. Also the timer function is odd. You have to set a schedule with how long and what days. It’s not an easy here turn on and run 5 mins. But it does work, once timer schedule set up it works.

Its been a few week since connecting these plugs with Apple HomeKit, and unlike other smartplugs Ive tried, these have stayed connected consistently. I havent had any issues, and I love that they also have software updates that were made easy via the app.

If there is a timer function on the Home app, I couldn’t figure it out. However, the smart plug does work with voice command, via, telling Siri to turn it on or by manually turning it on/off by the Home app.

I bought the product for one thing: HomeKit automation. But the plugs simply don’t work with HomeKit. Interestingly, I have left them plugged in and manually turn them on and off and a couple months ago they started working with HomeKit out of the blue and then stopped again three days later never to work again.
