> 3 dayI’ve reviewed Meross and Refoss products before. Their smart home products are fantastic and simply work. Love their new switch style! The company is now adding HomeKit to their smart devices. This adds a new level of compatibility and flexibility for the home user. This review isn’t about HomeKit vs Alexa vs Smart Things. I only use Alexa right now But with an Apple network and ecosystem, installation was easy but the set up is different. I checked with Meross/Refoss and this part is true. If the smart device is HomeKit enabled and you have the HomeKit app installed on your phone/tablet, YOU WILL be setting up the smart device first through HomeKit. You cannot set up the device through Alexa until set up with HomeKit has taken place. Other than that weird setup requirement, the plug installation and use of the plug is simple and as one would hope. I continue to use the Meross app to control the devices as it is simpler for quick device manipulation than the Alexa app. If you are concerned about the quality and reliability of this product, you can be at ease. I exclusively use Meross/Refoss. The setup is simple and easy, the products respond quickly and reliably, and the customer care (when rarely needed) is always genuine and happy to help. Enjoy your plugs!

> 3 dayAfter struggling trying to get a different smart plug to connect to my network, I ordered the ReFoss smart plug because of its compatibility with Apple HomeKit. I plugged it in, held my phone up to the plug and it self configured first time. Also, setting up actions and automation was a snap. Good product!

16-11-2024The smart plugs do work with HomeKit, but I continually have to turn them off manually. Had the reset the plugs before I could get the plugs available to use with HomeKit.

> 3 dayEasy to install I purchased HomeKit compatible. Give it a name you can easily remember. Turns on my lamp, app is in my iPhone eco system. Love it! Better and more affordable than installing smart switches.

> 3 dayI purchased this WiFi Outlet pair as the first devices to be part of my Apple HomeKit. Install was a cinch! For each I plugged the device into the wall, opened the HomeKit App where, it instructs the user to scan the device code and after about a minute, each one was operational. The devices came as a pair and I am controlling two separate living room lamps. I have a Scene where I say, Hey Siri Good Evening where the App turns the lamps on and one called Good Night where they turn off. The devices have worked perfectly.

> 3 dayThe product is simple to use, and works with a wide variety of voice assistants and setups. I use Alexa, but I also have them configured to Apple Home if I ever want to control them from my Apple Devices directly. The Meross App (http://apple.co/2MC64AW) was the one that Apple HomeKit suggested to use, and it seems to work better than the app that was provided in the box. From what I can tell, this product seems to be a rebranded version of the Meross Smart WiFi Plug Mini (http://bit.ly/39vwJby). However, as far as I can tell, this hasnt impacted the quality of the product and it works just fine. I use them everyday to control my lights

Greater than one weekI bought a Refoss smart switch and was totally pleased with the performance, so when I saw the Refoss outlet I wanted to try it out. I own several different brands of outlets and switches, and I found that this outlet was just as good as the switch. Easy setup, quick recovery after a power outage (simulation by flipping the breaker) unlike some others I’ve bought these will easily fit two in one outlet.

> 3 dayThe best smart outlets on the market! I use Apple HomeKit primarily for my smart home and I’ve had nothing but “no response” issues with other “name” brand smart plugs. These outlets just work. They’re always responsive, integrate easily with my automations and don’t take up much space on the outlet. What more could you want in a smart plug? Now I have smart routines for holiday lights, fish tanks, decorative lamps and even a plug-in vent booster fan in my attic.

> 3 dayAlso requires it’s own app if not using Apple HomeKit. Btw, apple doesn’t use iPad as Hub anymore
