> 3 dayi cannot say enough good things about this thing. i got it as an impulse buy and it arrived 3 days earlier than expected and out of the box i was more than impressed. sog did an excellent job making sure no damage came to this thing and its razor sharp out of box, but its not as big as the sog tactical tomahawk so keep that in mind. its lightwieght and very sturdy. it comes with a sort of sealant on the blade so if it looks a little odd keep in mind that its well protected. i recommend getting the hard plastic sheath for it because the nylon sheath that it comes with isnt all that great and makes for difficulty if you want fast removal. other than that this is the best tomahawk i own and i highly recommend getting it or the larger tactical version.

11-06-2025This ax is well constructed, well balanced (perfect weight) and sticks in the target extremely well. The handle has hit the target hundreds of times and has stood up extremely well. I plan to buy another!

> 3 dayWhen I bought this I was stoked about getting it. Great color and was what I was going for in a tomahawk. However, it took over a month to get to me. Wasnt too thrilled about that. Secondly is when I was opening it I noticed that the blade is nothing like I expected. It is super small. I mean it looks like something I would hand to a dwarf to make it look big. Dimensions are as follows the tip spans 2 inches from top to bottom. The length is about 6 and a half inches (which is okay) and the spike is 3/4 of an inch. Overall not bad but I was expecting more like 3 1/2 for the blade. But for the use as a tomahawk the weight is good and properly balanced if you ask me. I love the look of it but like I said wish it was a tad bit bigger.

> 3 dayThese are less than ideal for the average axe thrower. They will stick with some practice, and the axe heads are tough and sharp, but the handles are much more fragile than expected. I have owned a SOG tomahawk for about 8 years and thrown it thousands of times, even hit it with other axes while it was already in the target. The handle is chipped and gouged and the head has taken a beating. It is still far superior to these. The first handle handle snapped after 40 or 50 throws, just by hitting the target. The second one hasnt snapped yet, but it has a crack running through it after maybe 100 to 150 throws. I bought these because I expected the same quality and longevity from them as the single more expensive axe SOG sells. That simply isnt the case here.

> 3 day5 stars all round! the axe has been to hell and back. constant bashing against rocks, days submerged in muddy water/sand, left in the snow for months, and it can STILL slash, chop, and stick like no other. the blade is SUPER strong and well built. if it gets dull, just take it to the belt grinder and youre all set. some rust spots here and there, but thats expected from such abuse. il be buying another soon!

> 3 dayThis tomahawk is lightweight, durable and perfectly balanced. Great for throwing and held up nicely against concrete (I was messing with it and I accidentally hit the concrete--not recommended.)The head showed no sign of coming lose or falling off. As for the sheath, it has a belt loop but is quite hard to get your belt into. The buttons on the sheath were quite unwieldy so if you were in an emergency situation youd be in trouble. But over all good product even if the sheath isnt great. P.S. It isnt too sharp when it comes out of the package so you might need to sharpen it a little more. Have fun hacking away!

> 3 dayExcellent value for the price. Prompt delivery. The Fast Hawk is compact, light, well balanced and looks like it can take some rugged use. Love the lanyard loop and armor-plated handle. I had to take a star off for the sheath. The drop-access idea is nice, but I would prefer a Velcro under-strap instead of the three snap-buttons the ax rests on. The middle one unsnaps very easily and I feel like the tool could drop out. If I find a way to better secure it to my side or my pack, this negates the whole ease of access. Plus, the top stitching is reinforced with five big ring- type grommets that protrude beyond the sheaths edge and risk tearing into clothing or gear. I dont know why they didnt use smaller rivets that could have stayed within the borders of the stitching. So... I will make my own sheath and take this hawk with me everywhere. I love the size and weight, but, as another reviewer noted, this looks like a scaled-down model of its bigger cousin. For me, this means that the handle is a bit thin for my hands to grip comfortably. The material is not scored, and the horizontal grooves do little to keep it in sweaty hands. If you have gloves on, its not so bad. I wrapped the handle with para cord. This gave me a slightly wider, more comfortable grip and allows me to choke down on it for more force and control. Its also another great way to make sure that you always have para-cord with you. Overall a great purchase and I look forward to years of use. I think, for the price, Im gonna have to go ahead and buy the longer tactical hawk for car-camping and the like. Two awesome tools for under a hundred bucks.

Greater than one weekWith closer inspection these axes are not true SOG axes. On the bottom of the axe it says China and SOG is an American company. If this matters to you then buy directly from SOG website for an extra 8 dollars. If you dont mind buying fake SOG throwing axes then you are in luck, I landed some pretty great throws with these and they are great. Just wanted to give everyone the heads up on them being knock offs.

> 3 dayGreat head poor body. I bought three of these and I only have one left that isnt broke. If you make a product that inevitably will break you should think about offering replacement handles. And no I did not pry with them or abuse them in any way, I just threw them in the back of the house at a very large pine round. They were fine at about ten feet, but I didnt buy them because they looked cool. I hunt bow, rifle, high power pellet rifle and I wanted something else to do right outside my back door. Like I mentioned earlier they were fine at about ten feet but when I started moving back to around twenty five feet they started breaking at base of head. I really wish they didnt break so easy because I was really loving these tomahawks.

> 3 daythe fast hawk is a scaled down version of sogs fusion tomahawk, it feels much handier than the larger, a little more easily concealed (?) the blade is very sharp, construction solid, marketed more as a tactical tomahawk than the larger fusion which was billed more as an emergency entry tool or camp axe (hmmmm right) the only negative i can say about the fasthawk and its larger sibling is that the gripping surface may not offer enough traction for wet work (if ya know what i mean) the fasthawk head is attached to the handle by two bolts which pass through the tang of the head, seems more solidly attached than most other tomahawks [see mel gibson in the patriot for use]
