Got this to upgrade my external hard drive for my Xbox series x and it is a noticable improvement. Note that you will need a sata to USB 3.0 cable to use on xbox.

I have a number of these drives and they are great value for money. Their speeds have always been reliable and consistent. This is the first SP drive I have bought that has had issues. My write speeds drop through the floor sporadically and I am unable to use this drive for its intended purpose. I will be returning for a reissue.

I have been using an SSP solid-state drive (SSD) for a few months now, and I am very impressed with its performance. I recommend SSP solid-state drives (SSDs) to anyone who wants to upgrade their computer and enjoy a smoother and faster user experience.

Ive purchased these drives twice, one 512 GB and one 2 TB drive. The 512 GB drive failed within one year. When it failed, all reads and writes to it were incredibly slow, and any system that tried to boot off of it would crash, though I was still able to recover data from it. I called in the warranty on that drive, and both its replacement and the 2 TB drive exhibited the same issue where it *looked* like it was working, but its read / write performance was incredibly inconsistent. The systems booting off of those drives would occasionally freeze for seemingly no reason and at random times. I couldnt figure out what was going on until I did a benchmark of the drives and saw how bad the read speeds were. In particular, I noticed that sometimes the read speeds went crashing down to ZERO. That certainly explains why my systems were locking up. I used a free app called HD Tune to do the benchmarking. Ive attached a few of the graphs it produces as it runs to this review to illustrate what a failing drive looks like. If you buy one of these drives and see something similar to what Ive shared, then definitely RMA those drives ASAP because they will cause your system to freeze or crash. I called in the warranty on both the replacement 512 MB and 2 TB drives (for a total of three RMAs), and the replacements do seem to work correctly. So luckily not all of these SSDs have that issue. But its worth noting that three out of the five of these drives Ive had were faulty, and it still remains to be seen how long these two new replacement drives will last.

I bought this drive around Christmas time at $90 and thought that was an insanely good deal, now I see its $2 less than when I bought it. I have bought a few SP SSDs and they never disappoint. I bought this drive to replace the internal drive in my laptop but I dont need it for that anymore so I ended up getting an external case for it and Im using it as external storage to back up data from a few different devices in my home. Ive never had any issues with any of my SP drives, including this 1. I will continue to buy more as my storage needs require.

The drive itself seems pretty good especially for the price. My only complaint thus far is there are no mounting screws provided. How much would it cost them to include 4 mounting screws. 85 cents?

Never had a drive without serial numbers before. All 000000000s here. Seems to be working, good bang for the buck. Also the cheap comes out expensive. Was not recognized a few times needed to coax it to be mounted in the system. Installed Dell rack server as a VM. Only had to a day and not impressed, hope it changes my mind over time.

So my 2TB HDD was faithful, but short lived. About 3 years. It died. Thankfully I had it backed up and bought this SSD. I transferred the data to this SSD and connected back to my computer and all is now fine in my little SSD drive. Great price and it really has 2TB of storage (except for the address being reserved)

3D NAND Technology for Enhanced Reliability and Power Efficiency

Applying the advanced 3D NAND flash, Ace A55 features higher reliability and better power efficiency than traditional SSDs equipped with 2D NAND flash. The A55 offers improved endurance and longer battery life that you"re able to work longer without frequently recharge your laptop.

High Transfer Speeds for Fast Start Up

Powered by high quality controller and original synchronous NAND flash, the A55 delivers incredibly high transfer speeds that enable short boot time, fast application loading and quick file processing.

SLC Cache Technology for Performance Boost and Longer Lifespan

The A55 especially applies the ”SLC Cache technology” that allows all data to be written in the SLC portion first and leads to higher peak writing performance. In addition, the technology can reduce write amplification and thus offer better endurance and longer lifespan of the SSD.

Free-download SSD Health Monitor Tool - SP Toolbox Software

The A55 comes with a free-download SSD health monitor tool - SP Toolbox Software, which is especially designed for you to easily monitor the current health status of a SSD. By such, you can run a performance test, get an overall health evaluation and check detailed information about your SSD, including used space on device, device temperature, total bytes written, S.M.A.R.T. status, erase count status and block numbers.

*Please download the software at SP Official Website.

Absolutely Reliable with Bad Block Management

The A55 is built with Bad Block Management, which can continually monitor and replace bad blocks to keep your system in good condition with prolonged lifespan of a SSD.

Multiple Techniques Supported

The A55 is one of the lightest and thinnest SSD of its kind yet it is shock- and vibration-proof since it contains no moving parts. Furthermore, S.M.A.R.T. monitoring system and ECC technology are equipped to promise higher data transmission safety.
