> 24 hourThis needs better directions on how to put the nib where it belongs. Once you figure that out then everything else goes smoothly. Very easy to hold...with proper instruction a beginner can use this easily the very first time. I suggest buying this and trying this because it does work very well.

> 24 hourThis Speedball Cutter is such fun to use to carve your own rubber stamps. I just watched some videos on line and got the gist of how to do it. At first I thought it was easier said than done. But after a few tries, I love it. Have already made 3 stamps. I tried a very detailed drawing first which I do NOT recommend doing. Start out simple and you will enjoy your Speedball Cutter more and not get discouraged. I bought some dollar store erasers to carve, they are made of rubber, hence a rubber stamp. Lots of fun~

> 24 hourIt’s ok, but, not great! Blades are dull compared to the Flexcut tools which slide like going through butter. This set required more effort. So, I find myself using it less. Not a precision built design. The blade comes loose repeatedly and requires tightening too often! Over tightening can jam the blade making it very hard to release. Too frustrating to use this much. I only keep it as a backup.

> 24 hourVery user-friendly and fun to use. Sharper than expected, be careful. Id recommend cutting on a surface that can be marked up.

> 24 hourI realize that this is an inexpensive tool for beginners. But I also read reviews from experienced lino cutters that they really like this tool. I hate it. First of all, when using it as a palm tool (fitting the rounded end into the palm to push the blade across the lino) the screw lid keeps coming off and all the blades fall out. Ive already lost one blade that took me two days to find. Second, they lose their sharpness very quickly. Ive been using it for two days and already the small V tool is dull. Since you have to buy new blades all the time you might as well spend a little extra money and get a few decent tools. I cant afford the really expensive tools, but I spent around $40 for four Mikisyo Power Grip tools and they are much superior. You have to sharpen them so you also need to buy a whet stone or slip strop, but its well worth it for the longevity, ease of use and MUCH better cutting. Oh, and the blade screw comes loose while you are cutting, and the blades get stuck and I have to pull them out with pliers. Other than that........

> 24 hourThis is the best set of Lino cutters out there. I have been using Speedball products for over 25 years. The cutter is easy to hold and easy to use. While I am not a beginner, my grandson is. We have a lot of fun cutting, then printing our “masterpieces”!

> 24 hourI had to take the whole thing apart and put it together again before I could get the blades to stay in. One blade is not cutting at all no matter what I do. Its so dull, it is shredding rather than cutting and its the detail carver so now I cant get into the tiny places on my block at all. Speedball comes with a name and the brand is (or was) always a good purchase. Im afraid I only have one blade that works well and that just doesnt cut it (pun intended).
