> 24 hourThese pencils work great. I’m a beginning artist and can tell a huge difference between other pencils I’ve tried. I can get different effects in depending on how you hold the pencil. It hasn’t improved my sketching. If sanyrjing it makes me a crappier sketcher because the amount of detail is so pronounced. I’ve never needed to use an eraser until now fine strokes can all be seen clearly. Great pencils same crappy sketches. These aren’t miracle workers but i think will help me become a better artist in the long run

> 24 hourOf all the pencils I have tried, these are my favorite. I love the case, too. Some cases are constantly falling open and spilling contents everywhere and this case stays closed in my bag. Great quality. Im pleased.

> 24 hourBest set of pencils I have bought so far. I tried many types. Love these. My lead has not broke once from sharpening on the softer pencils. There’s a slight shine still with the softer pencils but nothing compared to cheaper pencils I have bought. I love the long range of variety from hard to soft. The case that it comes in is weak at the hinges it popped off and bent. It’s tin. However the pencils are high quality and I’m very happy.

> 24 hourLove these drawing pencils! I bought a different set from the store, horrible, waste of money. These Staedtler drawing pencils blend beautifully, sharpen to a fine point, and have a wonderful range of tones. I had another set from years ago that I lost, and have always been extremely satisfied. I bought a small two hole hand sharpener of the same brand, and it works much better than the crank handle sharpener Ive been using for the past 60 years. I highly recommend these drawing pencils, and I will purchase again as needed. Love the tin, too.

> 24 hourI have drawn for years mostly with mechanical pencils because I hated not having a consistent sharp point and I hated the scratchy feeling of the hard graphite wood pencils. I never would have thought that you would gain much from a high quality wood pencil vs. a less expensive pencil. It is just wood and graphite, right? Not exactly. These pencils are better. The harder H through H4 feel hard, but they dont have the irritating rough spots of clay that suddenly scratch the paper. I also found that with a small quality pencil sharpener like the Alvin Brass Bullet Sharpener, getting a sharp point is just a matter of a few twists of the pencil. I was use to those plastic low quality pencil sharpeners that seemed to split the wood or would put blisters on your fingers from twisting so hard. As a result I would use an electric pencil sharpener that eats too much of your expensive pencils. I recommend using a small handheld quality sharpener and your pencils will last a lot longer. All in all, high quality pencils, a little more expensive, but well worth it and dont forget to get a high quality handheld pencil sharpener.
