> 3 day...but its my fault because I didnt know how these worked! I thought I would give drawing a try so I bought these sketching pencils. They do what they claim! The thing is, MY preference is to draw with a nice, fresh point and I needed to keep sharpening them. At this rate, they wont last long! There is nothing wrong with them but I think Ill go back to my mechanical pencil!

Greater than one weekThese are currently my favorite graphite pencils. Ive used derwent for years and those are good too but I feel like these are a bit smoother. I primarly use them for graphite portraits. The only thing I like the derwent pencils more for is that I feel like the size of the cores are a bit larger in the derwents than these but I prefer the softer leads in these. Something to know about the Staedtler 7B and 8B is that they do not have that graphite shine, the Derwent 7B and 8B do. This particular set does not have the 7B and 8B but I thought its something interesting to know when comparing those two brands.

> 3 dayQuality is as remembered! Great product at a very affordable price. I love the metal tin case because it was something that saved my pencils from being broken at times. I can be quite tough on my stuff so my old case of pencils has some battle scars but despite those scars the pencils are still thriving! Thanks

> 3 dayPro: Nice quality. Good range of light-dark, making this great for both base sketches and adding detail. Came pre-sharpened which is great if youre like me and super excited to use them. Con: Aside from my tin arriving dented, there are no cons.

Greater than one weekI like both the thombow mono and mars Lumograph, you cant go wrong with either set I used medium weight 70lb drawing paper for testing both sets come with 12 pencils of the same hardness level , 4H, 3H, 2H, H, HB, F B, 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B, 6B Tombow Mono come in plastic packaging with 12 unsharpened pencils, eraser and small sharpener Mars Lumograph some with 12 pre sharpened pencils in a nice metal tin case Tombow Mono hexagon barrel is slightly larger then the Mars Lumogrph Mono has pencil grade marked on 4 of the 8 side, Mars Lumograph Is marked on all 8 mono grade is marked with gold over white, Mars is easier to see quickly marked with white over black both have a nice barrel finish both sharpen well, although mono has a slightly rougher wood after sharpening with the hand sharpener it came with. both sets feel the same on paper. very smooth with the softer grades all the way up to 2H, 3H and 4H started to feel a little scratchy on the paper as expected for the hardness. both sets blended the same overall both sets are comparable to each other. it really comes down to what you want in the set. the Tombow Mono is a bit cheaper but you also get an eraser and sharpener. the mars lumograph comes with a nice metal tin for a few $ more. Because of the nice metal tin i keep the mars Lumograph on my desk and use them at home. I have the Tombow mono set in my Derwent Travel bag with my Charcoal pencils for on the go drawing.

> 3 daySo far I am very happy with these Staedtlers. I am a Derwent user usually but in my last set the H value pencils begin to feel scratchy and were marking my paper. I ordered a set of these while I emailed the Derwent company. So far I have noticed none of those issues with the Staedtler pencils. They sharpen nicely, but do be careful which sharpener you use. The derwent sharpener with 2 holes tat sharpens wood then lead is NOT good for these pencils. Great for others, but not these. Overall very happy with them and would recommend to anyone
