Steadyrack Bike Rack - Wall Mounted Bike Storage Solution

> 3 dayThe Steadyrack holds the bike securely and it allows me to sweep under the tires without moving the bike. If I need more room to do something on one side of the bike/rack I simply swing it to the other side. My rack is hung at the back corner of my truck so if I need to carry something a little larger around my truck I simply swing my bike the opposite way. It works great. I always back my truck into the garage. I was missing a lag screw in my packaging when it arrived. A quick visit to Home Depot and $0.45 later I was all fastened to the wall. The box arrived ripped open on one end and the internal cardboard was also ripped. The plastic ziploc bag was open as well. Still annoying, but I cannot fault Steadtrack 100% for it not knowing what happened during shipping.

> 3 dayMy bike has fenders so in order to use this I have to lift up the entire bike and place the front wheel and front fender onto the rack. I cant roll the front wheel in as intended. This scratches my front fender. For bikes without front fenders you would just roll the front wheel onto the rack easily. I like the feature where you can move the entire bike 45 degrees toward the wall while in the rack, which helps with storage space, but this type of bike rack would work better for bikes without fenders. I should have bought a different bike rack. Also the instructions said to lay it out on the floor to measure how high to install - this did not work for me and I had to put several holes in my wall to have it up high enough so my bike did not touch the floor when on the rack.

> 3 dayI love finally having a solution to keep my 2 bike neatly up against the wall... Im using a classic model for both a road and mountain bike I havent seen another solution that allows you to easily load and then fold the bikes in so its a great design! Im taking away a star because of the plastic body and rear wheel support - you would expect metal at this price although the construction of the rack itself seems very well made ...also, as other reviewers have mentioned, the rear wheel support doesnt really secure the tire. If you swing the bike on its hinge too quickly the rear wheel pops out. Still recommended but its hard to justify the price.

> 3 dayBought these after doing lots of research. When I finally decided I wanted the bicycles off the floor with easy access, I decided on this brand primarily for ease of use and ability to swing the bicycles 90 degrees either side to minimize the protrusion into the garage space, which is being used for a car detailing business, a workshop, and an exercise area. I decided not to mount the racks directly on the 16OC studs because I wanted the bikes spaced about 12OC apart to maximize wall space. I spent more time planning and measuring than my husband and I spent installing the back boards and racks. I created templates and taped them to the wall to arrange how the back boards and racks would be mounted (see picture.) Then I cut and attached the back boards (2×4s) for each bike, which were all approximately the same size. I staggered the height of the racks so that the handle bars would clear each other and allow the bike to be mounted closer. I am very pleased with this purchase, and would purchase more if needed. I highly recommend! Oh and our 23 yo son said they were cool.

> 3 dayI found these not so easy to install but I had to deal with thin condo walls and a stud that was not easy to find. Overall this product is very good. After searching for something to get my bike off the floor in my condo and swing out of the way when my second bedroom Murphy bed needed to be used I was so happy to find this product. The hardware is very sturdy. The plastic caps are strong. It works perfectly. I did wish the swing out of the way allowed the tire to be in a grub on left and right side @ - their solution is to float the tire on the left or right side of the bottom cap. But it does work great. I give it a overall 5 as its my fault the install was hard. Online video instructions helped a lot.

> 3 dayVery well made, came with very heavy duty bolts...not sure that is needed unless your bike is made of lead..having said that...rather have too study than too flimsy. Getting the height right is a tad tricky...rear tire must be off the ground...but... not that hard... I mounted to wooden post in my garage, and it works outstanding!! I do wish you could lock it into place...as it does tend to move a bit when loading..but that is minor. Overall, really happy with it, does what I want...although I dont smile when loading my bike like in their videos... :-)

> 3 dayIts hard to impress me and bike storage has frustrated me for years. Ive been through a few moderately expensive options. Having moved recently I was back in the market to try and solve the bike storage issue for our five bicycles, still wanting better than the old system I took with me. I wanted relatively easy installation. I wanted good quality. I wanted something that got the bicycles out of the way. I wanted a system that my wife and kids would actually use (this was the biggest problem). I have tried enough systems that didnt work (or not very well) so was finally willing to spend more because I was at the point of the bikes going or me going. If this is you, look no further. I bought five of these babies so quite a bill but I have no regrets five days in. This solves all these issues and now seems a bargain. Im giving my old reasonably well reviewed zero gravity style (bar on wall, foot on floor, four arms sticking out to hold two bicycles) to charity. Its rare for me to give such a glowing review. Ill update if my happiness level deteriorates since Im posting at five day mark. But, in those five days Ive only gotten happier. A few very minor nits: 1) The little covers for the bolts dont snap on/off very easily. Those could be better; 2) There are no instructions for how to space them for multiple bicycles. They should give some instruction (Others online wrote about 16 based on stud distance but happier at 32 despite all the space that takes up horizontally. My space allowed 22 spacing so I added studs to mount to which took more work but it works well at 22. I dont think 16 would work well and 32 is just too far apart. 24 probably the sweet spot); 3) The instructions are in metric so takes a little conversion (I found that mounting the bicycles so that the back tire is about 2 off the floor when hanging in the rack)

> 3 daySteadyrack Classic Bike Rack Twelve days ago I mounted two Steadyracks to my garage wall. Since then I have had one bike off and on the rack 15 to 20 times. The ease of use is as simple and easy as the company shows it to be in the video on Amazon. For me the racks are perfect: 1-They allow me to store my bikes in a small corner space. 2-There is little, if any, hassle accessing the bikes. 3-They mounted securely to the wall - stud and drywall. 4-They are not ugly. Installation was not real difficult, but required accurate measuring and close attention to the provided instructions. In my case, a rack mounts to the wall using a stud AND drywall. I suggest, instead of using the drywall anchors supplied, buy and use toggle bolts. I do have one complaint. All of the fasteners, lag bolts and drywall anchors, were missing from one of the 2 racks and about half of the fasteners from the other box were missing. I never notified Amazon about it, so Im not sure how this complaint would have been handled. See provided photos.

> 3 dayThese work very well, easy to install and look kinda cool. I have one for a thin tire bike (the tri-bike) and one for a fat tire (4 inch tire) bike. The only issue i have is that the fat tire bike rack touches the wall which keeps the fat tire bike handle bar sticking 30+ inches from the wall. I will probably take it down and mount it hire so I dont have to remember to avoid it (Im 5-6 tall). I would defiantly recommend these. If I get more bikes, I will be getting more of these.

> 3 dayMounted mine next to my storage room door, tilt it in the front of my door out of the rain then If I need to go in I just move it to the right. Don’t think it was meant for the fat 29inch wheels but all I did was bend them open a little more to fit around the tire. Only issue is the bottom piece. I had to use a strap to hold the bottom tire to the mount so I can fully rotate it without the tire falling but other than that it worked perfect.
