> 3 dayThis rack is fantastic. We are a very active cycling family- 9 bikes between 4 people. My wife and daughters are not particularly tall, so hanging bikes on the wall has always been a bit of a challenge, We had traditional bike hooks in the wall, but family members had difficulty hoisting the bike up into the hook. Additionally, if you need to move the bikes to one side or the other, inevitably the bike wheel turns sideways to the hook and things get messy from there. The result? Hooks bending spokes, bikes tangled up, and unhappy cyclists. When rennovating the garage, I bit the bullet and bought a bunch of these racks. WOW! What a difference!! We staggered the bikes (high/ low) to squeeze them close together. Bikes just roll onto the low racks from the floor- basically zero effort. To store a bike on the high rack still requires lifting, but its a lot easier to do- instead of having to capture the hook with the wheel, you just drop the wheel onto the rack. Much simpler! Perhaps the best feature is the ability to swing bikes from one side to the other. Unless you have a dedicated garage for your bikes, youre likely sharing space with cars and household stuff. Getting to the bike at the end of the row used to always cause problems for us. Now, we can just swing the other bikes out of the way and access whichever bike were after. Brilliant!! The photos attached are before and after shots. The before shot shows lots of wheel/ tire marks on the walls, and you can tell they dont always hit the hook they were after. Weve had the SteadyRacks installed for over 6 months, and theres nary a mark on the wall. Fantastic!!

> 3 dayThis is a great bike rack, I love the hinge so I can push the hanging bike side-to-side, and I like that the rack folds up when not in use. Its quite easy to install, but instructions could be more clear. There are some paper installation instructions included. As a purchaser in the US these contained measurements mostly in inches, also mentioning metric equivalent. Steady rack also has an installation page on their website (/pages/installation), which is better, all in metric. And from that page you can download an installation manual PDF, also metric, which seems to be the most detailed. There are slight differences between all three, however, and I ended up reading through all of them more than once. Some of the instructions called for a 10 mm drill bit to drill pilot holes. Some simply stated use a drill bit smaller than the screw size. None of the instructions told me the screw size. I eyeballed it and used a 15/64 drill bit. I think 10 mm would have been too wide. One slightly weird thing is that amongst the bits and pieces they provide are two rubber tips. They are only listed in one of the three forms of instructions, and it didnt even say what they are for. Overall Im very happy with the product, just wish the instructions were a bit better. Despite this, I was able to figure it out and install four of these without an issue, and am very happy about my new and improved bike storage!

> 3 dayThe racks seem to work well and are secure into the wall. Quality: my only main issue is that the plastic caps covering the bolts area on the top and bottom are very cheap and don’t come off or attack easily. Otherwise the rack is fairly solid. Install: The one issue I had was that the bolts did not fit the 1/2 inch socket bit. In fact, they were between sizes, which is fine if you just use a large socket to drive them into the wall. Not so fine if you want to take them out without having to use a wrench. The bolts got a bit stripped in the process. I didn’t predrill my holes into the studs, because I was able to just hand drill the bolts in a quarter inch and then drill them the rest of the way. Always predrill a smaller hole than the instructions FYI.

> 3 dayNice rack, easy to install, pivot feature is very nice and makes it easier to mount in an odd or unused space. The rack straight out of the box felt a little flimsy, but the support from the massive stud bolts really stiffens the rack up and makes it impressive. Very little flex when folding and unfolding, no bounce when the bike is mounted. The pivot is smooth and feels stable. Im glad I mounted it before I made any decisions. The only reason for the -1 star is that my rack came in an undamaged and taped box, but one of the end caps that cover the mounting screws was not in the box when I opened it. The whole thing works without the second end cap, but is isnt as pictured and I dont know if there is only supposed to be one.

> 3 dayDefinitely a great choice giving lost of versatility. I have spaces the racks at 22 in without offset and it fitted perfectly. The only idea I have for improvement is to include a paper template so it will be an even easier installation.

> 3 dayI researched wall mount bike racks for days before settling on the Steadyrack. I have a 224” wide garage that has to fit two cars (total width of cars 155”) and 3 bikes (bike max width 25”) so I needed a space-saving solution. The reviews here said this rack was great for saving space so I bought the fat rack for my ebike, the mountain for my mtb, and the fender rack for my wife’s bike. I mounted the fat rack first. Installation was fairly simple. There’s a video from the company on YouTube. The problem is that once installed and I put my ebike on the rack, the angle that it moved to the side was absolutely unacceptable. It was roughly 25 degrees off the wall!!! Meaning my handlebar edge was now 36” off from the wall! Cmon, I’m not expecting 180 degree flat but this is unacceptable. I cannot have my handlebar stick out 36”. I took the rack off and bought some simple hooks and now my bikes’ max width sticking out is 25”. This is not a space saving solution. At $90, it has to be much better than a simpler solution and it’s not. Returned all 3.

> 3 dayGreat for saving space without compromising accessibility. No more ‘ceiling hoist’ racks requiring Dad to get the bikes down. Now everyone, including my kids, get their own bikes down AND put them away Pros: - Easy to use - Quick access saves time - saves space - Allows bikes to swing or pivot against the wall - Bikes can be mounted as close as 14” apart and still pivot against the wall - Relatively simple installation and online videos available - Simple to put bike up and down Cons: - not the cheapest solution - Drywall anchors included are inadequate (try and use a wall stud) I use the fender racks to hold two 26” beach cruisers with large front fenders. The bikes are held vertically with the rear tire just off the ground. Just tip the bike up on its rear wheel and roll it onto the rack. Then swing the bike to the side until the handlebar is against the wall (tires remain against wall while bike rotates side to side). Installation considerations: - Installation instructions state bikes can mount as close as 14”. This works for similar bikes (two beach cruisers or two mountain bikes), but with different types the handle bars can interfere with each other. You need to move them farther apart or stagger one higher off the ground (impacts ease of storage/retrieval) - Drywall anchors included are totally inadequate. Do not use these to mount into Sheetrock without a stud. I used Snaptoggle anchors (Home Depot, etc.). One reviewer marked this product down for the poor wall anchors. This isn’t unique to this product, included anchors are usually junk. Weight bearing items usually mount to a wall stud for support. I prefer not to pay extra for a product to include quality anchors, and if needed I purchase my own. If your priorities are space and convenience I strongly suggest you look at this rack. The ceiling racks I used were hard for my wife and I to use, and way too difficult for my kids. The bikes just weren’t getting used. I hope this review is helpful in selecting a bike storage solution.

> 3 dayI have limited space in my garage and 4 bikes to store. This system is by far the most efficient and user friendly I have ever used. All my bikes are securely held and very easily removed for use. They allow you to swing the bikes to the side for more space, etc. I wish I had found them earlier. My only advise is that originally when installing the racks using their measurements, I found my rear tire about 3+ off the floor. This made it difficult for my children to put the bikes on and off. I lowered the mount so that the rear tire is only 1 off the floor and it is now extremely easy for even my 9 year old to use. Its actually harder for her to wheelie her bike to get it into position than it is to actually mount the bike in the rack.

> 3 dayRight out the box, this looked impressive. Very well packaged and shipped. The racks are bigger than expected. Installation was fairly easy if you can handle finding studs, drilling holes, and using levels. I have a small area in my garage that wanted to install two bike hangers. The bikes fit nicely and with the angles, we can easily move in and out of the garage. Just installed today, but extremely happy with how this turned out.

> 3 dayI was hesitant at first by the price because I needed 2. But after the easy install and ease of use, I couldn’t be more than happy to recommend this to everyone that wants a vertical rack that also saves space. Just do it, pull the trigger and buy this rack, you won’t regret it.
