Works exactly like it’s supposed to. The brainwork for installing it isn’t quite as simple as it would seem;, be careful to see that the wheel trough on the rack is in the correct position in the mock up for mounting hole placement which is actually done with the rack on the floor and bike backed up to wall (then you measure from the leading edge of the front tire to the wall with the rear tire abutting it)). Accounting for the projection of a base molding from the wall also can be tricky (I subtracted the depth of the base molding without realizing the base molding didn’t matter because it didn’t hit the tire). I looked at a lot of devices for hanging bikes with a top priority bod not having to lift the bike; one was basically an arm anchored in the ceiling that used pneumatics to lift the bike flat against the ceiling but, there was some fiddling with securing it and I didn’t want a big clutter hanging overhead in my nice-looking garage, which goes for all the pulley contraptions too. I liked Steadyrack’s vertical mount too because it leaves more useable wall space, it’s clean look and after getting used to it, the ease of getting the bike into it.

Like many cyclists, I own more than one bike. I only recently added a new road bike to the family and needed an easy way to hang it in a limited space. I liked what I had read about the rack, so decided to give it a go. I am far from being a handyman, so anything that requires measurement intimidates me. The instructions are clear as to what tools you need, but I did get a bit confused trying match the correct drill bit- when I looked the recommended bit, it looked way too small. Anyway, once I figured that part out, the rest was easy. Once the holes were drilled, it took less than 30 minutes to complete. I did have the benefit of being to hang it on a stud, which I think made it easier. It does seem sturdy and I am happy to have my new bike on it. Would I recommend this rack? Absolutely, even if you’re not the handiest around the house.

Installation was a breeze with the right tools and know-how (used stud finder), and the fact they can swivel and fold up is awesome. The only downside is with the ordering process. Notice that the unit price of the multi-pack bundles is higher than individual units. Fortunately, Amazon gave me a credit.

Really easy to install and they are very sturdy. My electric fat-tire bikes are 70+lbs each and they are supported very well. Some people are complaining about the fenders getting in the way, but for me that wasn’t an issue. The metal support of the rack went right between the fender and tire and fit perfectly. Love the pivot feature which allows you to basically fold the bikes in against the wall so they don’t protrude out as far. The only complaint is the price, but you get what you pay for.

I purchased two of these racks to hang my Specialized road bikes vertically on the interior wall of my spare bedroom. Installation was straight forward and once youve located the studs in the wall (highly recommend mounting to studs and not using the expansion anchors) the installation is very easy. The only criticism I would have is that the installation instructions are pretty lacking for people who dont have a lot of experience in handy work. If you dont have experience with similar installations, Id recommend getting a friend to help or hiring a professional. Aside from locating studs, youll want to be sure to avoid plumbing and electrical utilities in the wall. Once installed, the racks worked great! Unlike many other wall mounting methods, Im not worried about improperly installing the bike and potentially messing up the spokes or having the bike come crashing down. Mounting the bike on the racks is super easy, and my petite 5-0 girlfriend has no issues getting her bike into the rack. The rack is incredibly solid and I have no concerns of their quality. I would definitely recommend these racks to a friend. In fact, I have a friend that Ill be installing these racks for in her garage.

These wall mounts are brilliant for both their ease of use and versatility. Being able to swing bikes out of the way is a killer feature.

Definitely a great choice giving lost of versatility. I have spaces the racks at 22 in without offset and it fitted perfectly. The only idea I have for improvement is to include a paper template so it will be an even easier installation.

easy ti install and saves me space. I swing the rack to the side and I wish that there was a way to lock it in the position I needed it to stay in.

These are the best bike racks available IMO. I wish they weren’t so expensive, but I have no regrets. I was skeptical, but they can indeed hang 16” apart. I installed all of them into studs and they are very sturdy. The only reason for the wide spacing you see in the photo is the location of the electrical outlet. I used one mountain rack for a wider tire MTB, one fender rack for a TT, and four classic racks for the road bike and a MTB with non-knobby tires. The varying heights helps accommodates 4 road bikes and two mountain bikes, one of which has bar ends. This makes it possible to pivot the bikes farther without parts of one bike hitting the next. We don’t have any trouble parking two cars and having the bikes at 90 degrees, but we typically keep them at an angle of around 50 degrees. They are easy to pivot. I mounted the racks higher on the wall because our road bikes are lightweight, and I wanted the heaviest mountain bike (far right rack) to be a couple of inches off the floor for any necessary sweeping. Plus it’s not really that heavy. I’ve not yet had a chance to mount the rear wheel rests on the two racks on the left due to bike maintenance.

This is simple to install and the pivoting feature is why I got it. You will need to drill into the stud and screw in a lag bolt so if you don’t know what that means you might need help installing this
