Works exactly like it’s supposed to. The brainwork for installing it isn’t quite as simple as it would seem;, be careful to see that the wheel trough on the rack is in the correct position in the mock up for mounting hole placement which is actually done with the rack on the floor and bike backed up to wall (then you measure from the leading edge of the front tire to the wall with the rear tire abutting it)). Accounting for the projection of a base molding from the wall also can be tricky (I subtracted the depth of the base molding without realizing the base molding didn’t matter because it didn’t hit the tire). I looked at a lot of devices for hanging bikes with a top priority bod not having to lift the bike; one was basically an arm anchored in the ceiling that used pneumatics to lift the bike flat against the ceiling but, there was some fiddling with securing it and I didn’t want a big clutter hanging overhead in my nice-looking garage, which goes for all the pulley contraptions too. I liked Steadyrack’s vertical mount too because it leaves more useable wall space, it’s clean look and after getting used to it, the ease of getting the bike into it.

Really easy to install and they are very sturdy. My electric fat-tire bikes are 70+lbs each and they are supported very well. Some people are complaining about the fenders getting in the way, but for me that wasn’t an issue. The metal support of the rack went right between the fender and tire and fit perfectly. Love the pivot feature which allows you to basically fold the bikes in against the wall so they don’t protrude out as far. The only complaint is the price, but you get what you pay for.

Mounting into studs is really sturdy, and it holds my fat tire ebike which is pretty heavy- though I did have to take off the front splash guard. Note that at least on my small 20 inch wheels, the tire can roll back a bit when in the mount and the bike can fall. Easy workaround to brace the tire securely in place with a stick, or in my case an old pair of pliers to avoid accidents if theres a chance of things getting bumped. The bottom wall guard as other reviewers have mentioned is a complete joke and wont fit fat tires at all. Pleased overall. Not necessarily something Id splurge on for my kids bikes, but for a fat beast where you need something sturdy and easy to roll a bike up into to avoid too much lifting this really fit the bill.

I bought a Fat rack and a Classic rack through Amazon Warehouse. One of the racks shipped without the mounting hardware but I had similar bolts on hand and used those. I contacted the manufacturer via their website and they said they would ship out the hardware to me asap. These racks are fantastic. Loading the bikes into the racks is so easy, and it keeps the bikes out of the way. My fatbike is 30# with 3.8 width summer tires and the bike fits securely. I have 4.5 width winter studded tires that the rack would appear to take but I wont know for sure until I switch tires again. Mounting the rack was fairly easy although I did watch a few YouTube videos first. The brace for the rear wheel is obviously too narrow for the tire to sit in, but it does hold the bike steady when you pivot the rack to the side. I am now looking to buy the MTB version. The rack is expensive but if you can get it on sale it helps the emotional damage. Overall its worth it. Edited 12Jul21 - The 4.5 studded tires do fit - anything larger would not. Still very happy with the purchase

I have been looking for a bike rack that can support my wifes new e-bike and help save space in the garage. My wife and I stumbled upon this rack during a recent trip and we bought two for our bikes (we have three). After installing the two we bought (the store only had two in stock) we were so pleased we decided to buy the third on Amazon. We now have all three bikes hanging in the garage in the space that one bike would take up. Super easy to install, saves space and is easy to load and unload the bikes; even the heavier e-bike. I highly recommend this rack.

I researched wall mount bike racks for days before settling on the Steadyrack. I have a 224” wide garage that has to fit two cars (total width of cars 155”) and 3 bikes (bike max width 25”) so I needed a space-saving solution. The reviews here said this rack was great for saving space so I bought the fat rack for my ebike, the mountain for my mtb, and the fender rack for my wife’s bike. I mounted the fat rack first. Installation was fairly simple. There’s a video from the company on YouTube. The problem is that once installed and I put my ebike on the rack, the angle that it moved to the side was absolutely unacceptable. It was roughly 25 degrees off the wall!!! Meaning my handlebar edge was now 36” off from the wall! Cmon, I’m not expecting 180 degree flat but this is unacceptable. I cannot have my handlebar stick out 36”. I took the rack off and bought some simple hooks and now my bikes’ max width sticking out is 25”. This is not a space saving solution. At $90, it has to be much better than a simpler solution and it’s not. Returned all 3.

I have a small garage and this product will help me keep floor space and it should be easy to store the bike without having to lift it up onto something. Just wheel it up on the back wheel. It’s winter here in Wisconsin so my brother and I installed it and we wheeled the bike in place hence the bike won’t be used for a few months so I can’t give a 100% testimony of the racks functioning but I like it so far. So far so good!

I love finally having a solution to keep my 2 bike neatly up against the wall... Im using a classic model for both a road and mountain bike I havent seen another solution that allows you to easily load and then fold the bikes in so its a great design! Im taking away a star because of the plastic body and rear wheel support - you would expect metal at this price although the construction of the rack itself seems very well made ...also, as other reviewers have mentioned, the rear wheel support doesnt really secure the tire. If you swing the bike on its hinge too quickly the rear wheel pops out. Still recommended but its hard to justify the price.

I found these not so easy to install but I had to deal with thin condo walls and a stud that was not easy to find. Overall this product is very good. After searching for something to get my bike off the floor in my condo and swing out of the way when my second bedroom Murphy bed needed to be used I was so happy to find this product. The hardware is very sturdy. The plastic caps are strong. It works perfectly. I did wish the swing out of the way allowed the tire to be in a grub on left and right side @ - their solution is to float the tire on the left or right side of the bottom cap. But it does work great. I give it a overall 5 as its my fault the install was hard. Online video instructions helped a lot.

I spent a lot of time researching vertical wall mounts before purchasing the SteadyRack. My main focus was to find something that was easy enough for my daughter and wife to use, as they were unable to take their bikes off the wall or put them back up for that matter using the standard hook type solution that is sold by most big chain hardware stores. Im very happy with this solution so far, my wife and daughter can now get their bike off the wall, and put them back. The fact that you can swivel the mount side to side is a nice touch, as you can move other bikes out of the way when dealing with your bike. Obviously these are much more expensive than a hook, however, if your the type that appreciates simplicity and flexibility, you wont be disappointed. I ended up mounting three bikes on the wall, I ended up putting 16 between each SteadyRack, I mounted the middle bike (mine) about 7-8 inches higher than the other two so that the handlebars would not interfere with each other, keeping in the mind that the two on the end would be easier to get up and down for my wife and daughter (lower to floor). I left room on the left and right side, so the bikes on the end can be swiveled out the way if needed. I did not use the mounting bolts that came with the kit, as the studs did not line up in my preferred location, I purchased 75 pound drywall screw kit, I used 3 of the 4 mounting holes on the top and bottom, I suppose you could use all 4 mounting spots if you wanted, however, it seems very secure using the top 3 for me. Follow the install instructions for height off the ground, as you dont want to mount it to high off the ground or it will be harder for your wife and kids to deal with their bikes. Hope this helps. Great product !!!
