Steadyrack Bike Rack - Wall Mounted Bike Storage Solution

> 3 dayThese are so cool. My little kids can load and unload their bikes. They also save so much space in my garage. The swivel design allows me to fold them in and they are no wider than our shelves. The installation would have been easier if I had a socket wrench but was kinda tedious with traditional wrench. That was a necessary evil however as these racks are super bomber and never coming off the wall unintentionally. A little pricey relative to other options, but I do not regret my purchase. The space saving was well worth it.

Greater than one weekYes, its expensive but if you want something that works great, is durable, and keeps your bikes out of the way, this is it! Perhaps you get what you pay for is an appropriate thought here.

Greater than one weekMy kids put their bikes away into this bike rack which means its a success! Ive tried EVERY bike rack solution that exists...hooks on the front tire, hooks on the frame, suspended from the ceiling, floor racks, etc. The kids never put them away because they said it was too hard...or they took up too much space...floor racks. They put them away into the SteadyRack. I also love them because I can install them very close to one another reducing the amount of overall space needed for bike storage. TIP: google steadyrack spacing guide and do the staggered installation...instructions say about 13 1/2, I moved them even closer at 12 and it works. We just sold our house and the buyer requested we leave the racks. I immediately bought and installed 5 more racks for our new home.

Greater than one weekI was really really happy when I received my steady rack. It looked to be of good quality. I even told 3 of my friends about it. But when I went to install my Steady Rack Fender Version that’s when the problems started Once I figured out that I had to “bend” the Bike Fender supports to make it work/fit i was able to get my bike in the channel (The instructions didn’t tell you this part ). My bike rolls on nicely and steady rack seems to support the bike well. Now the bad… If you don’t have a socket driver set it’s almost impossible to screw in the bolts because the plastic housing is really close to where you screw the bolt heads so a regular Vise grips or wrench won’t work. Also (see photos) I measured my back wheel and the lower tire rest on the fender version was just a hair not wide enough. So the bike doesn’t pivot like they show because it just slips around and actually made small scratches on my rim!!! I Contacted Manufacturer asking for a larger size tire rest and they told me I could BUY one on their website for $9.99 each plus ship! Not happy with this!!! They charge ALOT for this product $$189 for two racks and for this price Steady Rack needs to stand behind their products better. This little wheel rest is a cheap piece of plastic that Probably costs them .25 cents to make.they could have made a customer happy. So this product went from being something that could have been great to being a big disappointment

> 3 dayI installed these in our old garage and loved them so much, I took them when we moved! They even hang “hard to hang” Townie Electra cruiser type bikes. They’re sturdy, and we’ve had our bikes hanging within a couple feet of many exotic cars (for over 2 years now). To Install: I attached 1x4’s to the drywall in our garage. (I used a stud finder and secured them, with my own screws, to the studs beneath the drywall.) Then I used the included-bolts and secured those into the 1x4’s. This allowed me to hang the bikes where I wanted them… and didn’t restrict me to hanging them directly over the studs. Note: I’m a 31 year old woman with basic knowledge of tools/drills/levels/etc so anyone should be able to do this.

> 3 dayI looked into MANY other bike racks before I purchased the Steadyracks. These were the only ones I found that swivel and help save space and make it very easy to access the bikes. I needed something like this because my shed is 10 wide and my service door is directly in the middle (see picture). If I had a stationary rack the bikes would have stuck out into the middle of the doorway. I could have opted for something that I could hang the bikes on the wall above each other, but then I would have to pick up the entire bike and hoist it up 4 to get above the bike on the floor level, which is fine for me but not the other people in the household. Plus, I dont have enough wallspace to do that for four bikes. The Steadyrack solved all of my problems and make it super easy to access each bike by just swinging them a little to access the bike I need. (PS, please dont judge me by the messyness of my shed, LOL)

> 3 dayThese work very well, easy to install and look kinda cool. I have one for a thin tire bike (the tri-bike) and one for a fat tire (4 inch tire) bike. The only issue i have is that the fat tire bike rack touches the wall which keeps the fat tire bike handle bar sticking 30+ inches from the wall. I will probably take it down and mount it hire so I dont have to remember to avoid it (Im 5-6 tall). I would defiantly recommend these. If I get more bikes, I will be getting more of these.

> 3 dayI found these not so easy to install but I had to deal with thin condo walls and a stud that was not easy to find. Overall this product is very good. After searching for something to get my bike off the floor in my condo and swing out of the way when my second bedroom Murphy bed needed to be used I was so happy to find this product. The hardware is very sturdy. The plastic caps are strong. It works perfectly. I did wish the swing out of the way allowed the tire to be in a grub on left and right side @ - their solution is to float the tire on the left or right side of the bottom cap. But it does work great. I give it a overall 5 as its my fault the install was hard. Online video instructions helped a lot.
