Streamlight 44931 Siege 540-Lumen Compact D Alkaline Outdoor Hand Lantern/Flashlight Combo, Coyote

I was looking for an LED lantern that takes D batteries. This one isnt the cheapest. But i think its the best value for the money. The features are extremely useful and well thought out. The battery level indicator on the power button is just brilliant! Having so many different ways to hang it makes it very versatile too! Oh and did i mention it is super bright? Luckily it has different power levels which meet all of my camping needs.

used it during my last deployment worked great. I thought it collapsed into itself to be more transportable while on the move but it does not have that function. but detaching the top of it and making it a portable flashlight works even better.

This is the finest LED lantern Ive owned [my third]. Im going to purchase two more [one for car trunk and the other as a gift for a friend who travels and lives in his RV. Highly recommend for both campers or as an emergency light for around home.

Great lamp

This is a great lantern. Its small, gives off a lot of light, has different illumination levels and the batteries last a long time. In addition to having one myself, Ive given them as gifts and all the recipients all liked it too. Its ideal for camping and would be perfect around the house if the lights go out. - I highly recommend it.

Has three light settings. Light weight! Has a handle for easy hanging. Used during a long power outage and it was awesome! Bought a second one. Worth the $

Very versatile with excellent brightness on the highest setting and good dimming. Red led settings are a bonus. Easy to hang in all sorts of ways. Even worked as a footlight for Cub Scout skits at our last campout.

The product caused a leak of high end lithium batteries resultiing in a failed contactor which could not be fixed prior to the hurricane situation because Streamlight saw fit to rivet the battery into the plastic so they cant even be removed to accept some wire brush touchups to renew electrical contact. Whoever signed off on this design should be fired from Streamlight and his degree revoked by his university for a failure to understand basic product failure modes. Further, the product said made in Andorra and arrives with no indication on the product of where it is made. May be counterfeit

This is hands down the best LED lantern I have ever owned. Once I held it in my hand, even before turning it on, I could feel the high quality of construction. This is only the 2nd review I have written on Amazon and I felt compelled to do so because I think so highly of this product. I bought it for camping and emergency preparedness and I have no doubt that I can count on it to work when the situation calls for it.
