Streamlight 44931 Siege 540-Lumen Compact D Alkaline Outdoor Hand Lantern/Flashlight Combo, Coyote

Having tried various other lanterns, I can say without any hesitation that Streamlights The Siege beats them all when it comes to light output, effectiveness of light diffusion, workmanship model and features. I highly recommend this product.

Have received 2 different lanterns and both were not the advertised model. It should have been the Siege streamlight with 540 lumens brightness. Instead it was 340 lumens which is 60% less bright. I explained the problem to Amazon and the next day delivered another one but it was also the older less powerful light. I found out from the answered questions that some vendors are shipping the older less powerful model. Amazon is aware of the problem now and they will check on it. After inspecting the lantern, I really liked it. Well built and compact but not what was advertised. Amazon was quick to process my returns.

Great for power outages. Lasts a long time. Never had a problem with the product. I own ten!

Very bright light. Nice to have setting options. Trusting others for battery life claim. Haven’t had mine for too long. I’m thinking of making a reflector or shade for it in order to diffuse the light a bit. At least for indoor use.

This lantern was exactly what I was looking for. The light is very bright and it has more than one setting, which helps save on batteries. I took it on a recent camping trip and I especially liked the clip feature which allowed me to hang it inside my tent. I highly recommend this lantern.
