I am the plastic wrap whisperer in my house. No matter how screwed up the roll gets, Im always able to get it untangled and rolling in a full sheet. I am happy to give up that position to the Wrap n Snap! I havent had a single issue of tearing or sticking. The best part, I only need 1 hand to get a clean cut on the wrap. Love this thing!

I have always had trouble with plastic wrap, Im left handed and felt that might have something to do with the wrestling match I endured.Tried every brand, the heavy verses the thin, and heavy was better, but not good. Now that Im a senior citizen with arthritis in my hands plastic wrap was a nightmare. Im back to finding new uses for plastic wrap now that it is a dream to use with WrapN Snap dispenser. It does take up more space and does not fit in the spot I kept the box type in. I have left it on the counter and this has worked out better. Im using it more. I had gotten into the habit of using zip lock bags for items that a quick wrap would do. An example is taking medication on the go. Plastic wrapped pills in the pocket is better than a qt. bag in the pocket. When packing for a trip I used plastic wrap instead of bags for many items like an extra pair of shoes that may soil clean clothing do well wrapped, takes up less room than air filled bags.

I hate the box with the serrated metal edge for cutting. The amount of time I have accidentally cut my finger on that serrated metal when I wasnt even using it, but rather reaching into the drawer for something else. This solved that issue with a much better looking, safer, and easier to use container. Theres a lock to keep it closed, so youll have to swing the latch when youre using it. Then you just pull out the wrap over your container and snap the lid down. Thats it. No more trying to cut or rip the wrap. This fits the 750 sq ft stretch lite you can get at Costco perfectly.

The dispenser just holds a plastic food wrap (not foil), but cleanly cuts the entire width by simply pressing down on the upper portion of the dispenser. No more half-cut or sticking-onto-itself-while-unraveling wraps! [updated 11/25/2013] The roll just sits cradled in the dispenser, hence it doesnt matter what the rolls size is as long as it physically fits. It works just fine with other brand wraps, like

Maybe its just me but I have to work too hard to make it work. I saw a famous TV chef use it & it looked so easy but not sturdy or easy to keep in place then one must pull out the sheet of film then give the top a little slam (I tried a soft close of the top but that didnt work for me) to cut the film. I keep using it because it was a little pricey and I keep thinking its just me.

It’s very hard to close and lock when storing it.

Nearly perfectly. Heres how it works. You lift the lid and trigger two buttons, one on each end. That frees the insert. You insert your roll of plastic wrap and pull the loose end out and back over the lid. Replace the insert. Now, the tail end of the plastic is running between two pieces of plastic. Those pieces have three curved cutouts at both ends and the middle. This allows you, after cutting, to pull the end out to the desired length. To cut, bring the lid down all the way. It doesnt feel like much happened, but when you let the lid up, the plastic is cut cleanly. The new roll end is again caught between the plastic pieces and ready for you to pull another. If you were to pick the loaded dispenser up and shake it, its possible to bounce the roll around enough to pull the end back into the body of the machine, in which case, you just open the insert and reload. No big deal. Im kind of stunned. I really didnt expect this kind of slick operation. If it matters, I have been using 100-foot Saran wrap in it. I see no reason for it to work any differently with other brands. The lid that you lift to grab the roll end sits about halfway ajar, but there is a simple one-hand twist latch that can hold it closed to keep it from crumb-catching if you like. I feels substantial and well made and will likely last long enough to be well worth the price. As related in other reviews, it probably wont take very large rolls. It comes with some soft rubber shoes, one for each side, that gives it considerable traction on a counter. But on my slick stainless counter or on top of my no-fingerprint enameled bread box, its barely heavy enough to sit still reliably when you pull a length. Thats not really too big a deal. It pretty well takes two hands, one to pull and one to push the lid down to cut, so you have a hand on the dispenser anyway. Im going to rig mine with a sheet magnet glued to the bottom to stick to my steel counter or steel breadbox. Of course, no problem if its attached with screws. The instructions specifically say that it wont work with foil. I suspect, though, that it may well work with parchment or wax paper. I bake all our bread, and I frequently need to pull a foot of wrap to cover a bowl during proofing. I intensely dislike fiddling with a plastic wrap box and the inadequate cutting edge provided. Plus, the box falls apart before I finish the roll. No more of that. As I said, IT WORKS!

Though some people maybe have never ripped their finger to shreds on a serrated cutting blade included on the box of plastic wrap, or gone through the inconvenience of having the end roll back up into the box and then go through the pain of fixing that, it seemed to be something that happened to me all of the time and always when you were in a hurry. With this dispenser those days are long gone. I love this gadget! It works perfectly every single time and takes the frustration out of wrapping items to store for later or cover dishes. Its such a simple design and after installing the included legs I had no problems with the unit slipping at all. It also has mounting holes to mount the unit on a wall or other area if you like. This thing is well worth the money if you use plastic wrap. I did end up having to buy the Stretch-tite Wrap though, as the other brands I had on hand did not fit in the unit, but I found the Stretch-tite wrap to be of equal or higher quality than what I had on hand for a decent price here on Amazon.com

Fits in the dispenser and does a great job of sealing leftover food! Think it will cut down on our grocery bill!
