I purchased this for my grandsons third birthday. Putting it together was simple. It is a high quality item all around. I am very pleased!

Don’t waste your money on a new one. Buy used. These things are durable so they last. Also because the kids outgrow them so quickly you only end up using it for a few months. (At least that’s all we did). Balance bikes are good but honestly they don’t help your kid learn to peddle and they start to rely on coasting (again in my experience). Just my 2 cents.

I was hesitant on the tires since they are not normal pneumatic rubber bike tires, but they are fine and the light weight is a nicer feature than I anticipated. When my 2 year old is done riding and we are half a mile from the car, no big deal to carry it. He loves it (24 months).

I thought this bike might have been a mistake when I first gave it to my 3 year old. Boy was I wrong! It took him about 2 days to figure it out and then he was off like crazy. So much better than a bike with training wheels! Ironically, I had my 5 year old ride this to learn how to balance. Once I saw he was good at it (just a few days) - we pulled out his bike that we had taken the training wheels off of months earlier and he literally got on it and rode away. Needless to say Im a huge fan!

This is a must for toddlers, these balance bikes are a gateway to learning how to ride an actual bike once to that next stage. It should be an eazy transition from this to a bicycle. My son has been riding this everyday since Christmas. He was two when he started on it. He loves it!

    Greater than one week

First and foremost, if you wonder whether to get this for kids between 2 and 5 year old, DONT. This is an invaluable tool for small kids to understand balance and transition into a pedal bike as soon as they fit one. Here is the story to show just how effective a Strider or similar balance bike is. Got this for a 4-yr old, who was struggling with heavier (10+ lbs vs 6.5lb Strider) and slight bigger 12-in pedal bike with training wheels. Had to get the Strider with longer seat post to fit a 4yr old or 5yr old. I received my Strider on the 13th of March, and it was an instant success being light and easy to control for a small kid. After using the Strider for about 2 weeks, the 4-yr old can already ride the 12-in pedal bike with confident on the 28th of March Again, if you still wonder, Dont. This balance bike is light and well made. Im glad I got it. The only downside is that the wheel does not seem to be easily replaceable, but it appears to be wear-resistant enough to last quite a while (we probably wont be able to find out)

Works perfectly. Seems to actually be teaching my two-year-old to balance on the bike.
