> 24 hourI bought this to light the inside of my 17 foot diameter tent. I wasnt sure if it would be bright enough based on just the description alone. I bought one strip and figured Id get another one later, if needed. As it turned out, the second one wasnt necessary. One strip is plenty bright. I didnt need to use the adhesive backed tape, as the tent had some small strings running the circumference inside. I simply looped the light strip around these and it stayed perfectly. I am running it off of an RV/Marine deep cycle battery. So I ran a line from the battery into the tent and hooked it up to a switch. Then I ran a line from the switch to the lights and now I have real indoor lighting inside my tent. No flashlights or lanterns required. These worked out very well. I would buy again if I ever need more.

> 24 hourI wrapped this LED around a retail fixture and it tore at every corner. I have a lot of experience with LED tape and I have never used one I could tear with my hands.

> 24 hourVery nice upgrade to my original lights. Easy to install. Very bright. But after about a year the silicone itself is turning yellow. The lights are just as bright. But when I first installed the lights they blended in with the ceiling. Now they look like yellow stripes going across the ceiling. I still like them. But Im not happy with the look. #2 review. After time the LED strip lights continue to yellow and I will replace them soon. I have no other yellow nothing in my house. Does not look good.

> 24 hourThe recommended 2A 12v power supply is barely adequate for the full strip. Although it may work, good luck not burning out the supply. I wouldn’t run the full strip on less than 2.5 A. The LEDs use 4.8 watts per meter. Plan accordingly. Rule of thumb is use 80% of rated power max.

> 24 hourI used these to make an under water fishing light, hung it of the side of my dock under water. Wrapped lights around 1 1/2 PVC an covered with shrink tubing. Hooked up power supply for lights to dust to dawn sensor. They have been now working every night for two weeks. Much cheaper than the $500 light neighbor has at his dock but just as bright. Update 3/4 of lights stopped working after 3 weeks of use

> 24 hourThese seem like fine LEDs at a fair price. I believe Im not alone at running into adhesion problems. In my case, I was sticking the LEDs to a painted steel I-beam, so I think the surface was clean and had a good texture for adhesion, and temperature cant be a cause of failure (because the I-beam would dissipate any heat immediately). However, this was in a high-humidity basement environment, and so Im not terribly surprised that the adhesive only worked for a few days. In all honesty, I was expecting to need to do something else to adhere the LEDs rather than using the built-in adhesive strip, so Im not terribly disappointed.

> 24 hourI got these lights over other similar ones because they were cheaper, and the reviews still looked decent. And theyre just that; decent. Very bright light, so I suggest purchasing a dimmer. Also, they are NOT resistant to humidity. Since its midsummer and I like to enjoy the milder days, Ive used command strips in periodic places along the lights to keep them up. But I cant really complain, since they were such a bargain. Theres room for improvement, but I was satisfied enough to buy another one for another room.

> 24 hourI have ordered 3 reels of these lights for my boat to accent the living area. They are nice and bright. One package came with no connectors or instructions, luckily I ordered connectors separately. The second package had instructions and connectors but the inconsistency could diminish this products quality. The adhesion was the weakest point. Please use 3m adhesion only. I had to tie wrap these to some existing lights I replaced. Once I got through that the lights add positive atmosphere to our boat with just under 2 amp draw for 1.75 reels.

> 24 hourI purchased these to install under a homemade cabinet. These have only been used indoors so I cannot speak to their IP rating or their UV resistance as others have noted there may be concerns in those areas. For my application, they work perfectly. They were easy to install and soldering wire connections to a switch and 9V battery was simple. The adhesive was a bit lacking when applied to the pine cabinet surface, but I did not intend to use the adhesive alone and used mounting staples to keep them in place. If you are relying on the adhesive alone to hold these you may run into some frustration unless you have a smooth surface and install them on long straight runs. For my application this was not an issue, since I was using mechanical fasteners. Brightness running off a 9V battery was exactly what I was looking for - not bright enough to add accent in full sunlight or a brightly lit room, but for little to no ambient light (which is what my application is) they are perfect.
