I have a TI-84 plus that I love but my math Calculus teacher doesnt allow graphing calculators on tests so I decided to buy this one. I was really impressed with the visual interpretation of roots and exponents. It makes it easy to look at understand immediately. 5^(3X) is shown with the 3x part above the 5 like you would handwrite it. I have used older models of this calculator and some Casios and this is easily worth the $5 extra. Everything about it works, and it works well. MathPrint is ingenious and allows you to visually see mathematical things. Like if you want an exponent on a normal calculator it would show an ^, but with mathprint it actually shows the number as a superscript on the first number. Pros: -Good display -Good visual mathematical interpretation (MathPrint) -Find y values for given xs for a function -Keys have good tactile feel and register every press (as opposed to a lot of other competitors) Cons: -Funky cover, (clip on vs. slide) but not a big issue at all. Easy to get used to. -No integral functions (which is a plus for me since I wouldnt be able to use it on a test if it did have that) Conclusion: This is a great $15 scientific calculator and I highly recommend it.

I got through mechanical engineering school at a top 20 university with this thing. Literally a 10th the price of every other calculator in the room. Buy it.

It is Texas instrument. The only way to go for cost.
