> 3 dayI gave my sister my TI-84 graphing calculator after switching out of college engineering...I had been using a TI-84 for three years and the TI-30XS has exactly the same feel as a graphing calculator. The font is the same and very readable and it has almost every function of the TI-84 including sin, cos, tan, e^x, ln, etc. This $14 calculator even has some features the TI84 lacks--MultiView the most useful. On the TI-84, an expression might appear as (2-3x^2)/(4-1/(2x)), but this bargain calculator formats it like youd write in on paper, exponents, fractions and all. The calculator has probability functions, including nCr, factorial!, and log/ln. It can do roots bigger than 2 without having to write ^(1/3) for the third root for example--it writes a small three, and puts the number/expression UNDER THE ROOT LINE, which is extremely helpful. You can also input an expression like y=sqrt(x+2) and the calculator outputs a table with coordinates, starting with x=1,2,3, etc. You can change the steps between x-values, as well as just put in any x-value and see the corresponding y-value. This feature is very powerful and quite useful. Just a word of caution: the T1-34 (a similar product) is more expensive, uglier, and has a horrendous button layout--for example, to compute the sine, cosine or tangent you must go into the trig menu, scroll to the function you want (inverse tangent is sixth on the list) then press enter, then type in the angle. On the TI-30XS you press sin/cos/tan, or for the inverse trig functions, 2nd and sin/cos/tan, just like on the TI-84. The natural log is also hidden like that. In summary this TI-30XS has almost every feature of the TI-84 (except graphing) and is an incredible bargain.

> 3 dayMy daughter felt this product was great. It’s the exact model they use in school. They cannot bring them home so having this here is super helpful with homework.

> 3 dayThis calculator was on the list of approved calculators for proctor exams with my university. It is easy to use and works like a champ for what I need it too. So far, not hicups or issues. Since it is made of plastic, I would recommend that you buy a case to keep it in, so that it doesnt break or crack if you drop it. I does come with a hard plastic cover that clips on the back while you use it.

> 3 dayIn love with everything about this calculator. Ive had a natural-display Casio scientific calculator for the longest time and I hated it because it just could not translate anything into decimals. Like if I plugged in 2/5 and pressed enter, it would spit back 2/5 rather than the decimal equivalent. Or if I tried to divide an uneven number, it would give back a fraction rather than the decimal answer. Which is incredibly frustrating on tests and quizzes when they want the decimal answer...Id have to change the fraction to a decimal by hand, which took a lot more time than if itd just done it for me. ANYWAYS, back to the product. The TI-30xs is so much better because not only does it give you an answer in decimal form, but it also gives you the option to easily view it as a fraction! It also allows you to scroll up to the last 8 or 10 (cant remember which) calculations you made in case you need to refer back to them. These can be cleared out manually or in order as more are produced. The price of it is also great. Being a college student on a budget, I didnt want to have to purchase an expensive calculator yet I needed one that would work for my statistics class. This one is perfect for just that, along with lower level and algebra classes. Just the overall appearance and design of this calculator is perfect. The protective cover easily snaps on the back when in use, or back over the front when not in use. Its slim and light, easily packed away in a backpack or folder in between classes. Lastly, the fact that its both battery AND solar powered is a huge bonus. Again, being a college student, I dont have the time or money to have to worry about replacing dead batteries.

> 3 dayI love this calculator. The size and weight is convenient enough that you can carry with you without being too overbearing or heavy. The calculator has all of the major functions that you need to perform everyday mathematical operations without graphic capabilities. The fact that this calculator is solar powered eliminates the need for batteries. Overall, this calculator is one of the best on the market.

> 3 dayThis is a very good price (especially for Prime Members) for the TI-30XS, the only model allowed for use during the GED test. Those who take the computer-based test will be able to use an on-screen emulation of the TI-30XS during most of the math test as well as during parts of the Social Studies and Science tests. If your local testing center allows physical calculators into the testing area, this is the only kind they will accept. Its important to get the calculator early on during your test preparation and learn how to use it with ease before attempting the test. There are some things to know that you dont want to be trying to figure out during the test. Practice with the physical calculator will prepare the test taker to use the on-screen emulation, which functions exactly like the real thing. After you pass the GED you then have a useful and powerful calculator for use in your personal life or possibly in some college math classes, if college is in your plans.
