Greater than one weekI bought this for my Middle School son who does enriched math. I was going to get a TI 84 CE color calculator and this was the same price so I figured this was the best deal and he could use through high school. The teacher borrowed the calculator to learn how it worked so she could help students and basically gave it back and said she couldnt figure it out. My son still used it though and figured things out on his own but I thought that was strange. Unfortunately it got stolen in class. So keep an eye on this thing and make sure you write down the serial number. I think you can only find it in the menu system. I took pictures of the calculator when we first purchased and looking back there were no markings. If your looking to purchase this over a TI 84 Plus CE, I would have to pick the TI 84 Plus CE even though it may have fewer features. Unless the schools are supporting the Nspire, there is no point in getting one of these.

> 3 dayYou can use this on the SAT! It’s so nice, and it works really well! It can help you solve so many problems way easier, and overall it’s such a unique and cool calculator to just have! The touch pad blows peoples minds!

> 3 dayThis may be the best calculator on the market, it definitely wasnt for me though! I figure it is more for programming than mathematics but I may be mistaken. The full keyboard served no purpose for me. I did not like the rocker type buttons for common math functions. I didnt like the scratch pad or the software layout. The keys were nowhere near a TI normal layout. I could go on....... Im a TI fan, been using them since the 90s but this one was not for me. I sent it back and replaced it with an HP Prime. Hopefully itll be a better fit for me.

> 3 dayThis calculator was an upgrade to my TI-84, as I needed the Nspire for the imaginary portion of my Intro to Circuits class. The calculator has a lot of functions and can solve almost anything for you, including Calculus, Statistics, and can even run some games if you install them. The main drawback are the buttons, which are much less user-friendly than the classic TI-84. The buttons do not give much physical feedback compared to the 84, are much more noisy, but most importantly, sometimes it seems that the numbers do not always register, so you always have to max sure you are inputting what you are clicking.

Greater than one weekThe only thing that I do not care for is the Graphics interface for displaying Calculus derivatives. I can not find anything very tutorial that will allow me to enter a family of equations required for (for example) the spring-mass system or pendulum equations with damping and resistance. I am probably just not doing it right but I can not figure out what I am doing wrong and I have bought and read all 3 books relating to the TI-Nspire. none deal with second-order families of derivatives.

> 3 dayThis calculator has been amazing so far, a great resource while I pursue a degree in electrical engineering. That said, the software license is only for one year. Nowhere in the description is this mentioned. It almost seems as though they want you to believe it is perpetual, it is not and this does seem somewhat shady.
