Greater than one weekI recommend to new tabletop painters the QuickShade Ink Set as their second paint set. Besides the Strong (dark brown), Soft (lighter brown), and Dark (black) Tones, the set comes with four color tones: Green, Red, Blue, and Purple. (No yellow or orange, however.) When used with a basecoat of the same or similar color, the wash will quickly shade the color (eg. Green Tone Ink with green orc or goblin skin). A wash used directly on primer will act like a shade (if the basecoats are thin), and is useful to guide you in painting the shaded areas of the model.

07-06-2025Good product but I did not receive the right shades. Came with two green tones and missing a red tone.

> 3 dayThese are ink washes, as opposed to regular acrylic paint. If you dont know what that is, stop and do yourself a favor and get acquainted with all the paints miniature painters like to use. In a nutshell, these are used for adjusting tones and picking out details, not for basecoating (in most cases). Do not confuse these with the dips. Even though both are branded Quickshade, the dip isnt merely a large quantity of these, but is oil based with a varnishing component. These are your standard ink washes, comparable to GW shades, P3 washes, etc. That out of the way, these have become my go to washes. They are thinner and have less gloss than GWs new line, they come in the nice dropper bottles, and you get more for your money. People who used to use the old GW shades like Badab Black and Devlan Mud often cite the Dark Tone and Strong Tone in this pack as the true replacements rather than the new GW Nuln Oil/Agrax Earthshade, and after using them all I am inclined to agree. These airbrush quite well too, though doing so goes through ink very quickly unless you thin it.

> 3 dayMust have for miniature painters. Add instant depth, shade and contrast to models with a swipe of a brush. Love all of the colors in this pack. These instantly upped my mini painting game as soon as I opened the bottles.

> 3 dayGood paints. Do a good job at shading especially for speed painting.
