> 3 dayI typically use Walmart acrylic paints on my minis. But if I wanted to add some detail to them, I typically have to roll the dice with dry brushing. This is an excellent alternative to that. Really makes the color pop.

Greater than one weekJust geting into Warhammer 40k and needed paints. So far their nice washes. Which in turn bought a set of washes aswell since mega box only has the flesh, Dark, Strong and soft washes.

> 3 dayI should know better, as I used to make signs for a living. The can that is pictured on the left is not included in the box. It tells you this in tiny letters, sideways, over to the side. These letters should have been placed across the picture of the can. I don’t think this was an accident, and I’m angry. If this weren’t a gift for my husband, I would have returned it.

> 3 dayI recently got into painting miniatures. I watched instructional videos, bought a starter kit and went to work. I followed instructions to make washes from the inks I was learning to paint with. The results were...mixed. I decided to try the Army Painter Warpaints Quickshade Wash Set to see how it would go. The results were VERY different--there was a vast improvement. If you only have a handful of minis to work on, dont buy this set...just make your own wash. If you are serious about getting into mini painting, I think youll need this set. Happy painting!

Greater than one weekThis is a perfect set of inks for bringing out details in miniatures. A lot of great color options in this set and they mix together well. Any painter can get a lot of mileage out of this set and its a good price. They are especially good for beginners because the application technique is simple. The only downside to the army painter inks is that they add a little gloss to the miniature. This is easily fixed with a matte spray at the end.
