Just geting into Warhammer 40k and needed paints. So far their nice washes. Which in turn bought a set of washes aswell since mega box only has the flesh, Dark, Strong and soft washes.

Good paints. Do a good job at shading especially for speed painting.

If you are painting skeletons to make the looked aged paint the model in bleached bone, let dry and take flesh wash andput it over the bones of the skeleton then take a sponge and wipe the flesh wash off it will give the skeletons and aged look and some extra shading

Sure you can make a wash out of any paint, but unless you are an advanced painter, chances are you will get the thin the paint incorrectly. This set takes all the guesswork out of using washes to improve your painting. The washes can be applied easy and quickly, instantly improving any miniature you use them on. Well worth the money. One small gripe is that I wish there were more washes of various colors instead of shades of brown, but I guess I will use them with humanoid figures more.

I recommend to new tabletop painters the QuickShade Ink Set as their second paint set. Besides the Strong (dark brown), Soft (lighter brown), and Dark (black) Tones, the set comes with four color tones: Green, Red, Blue, and Purple. (No yellow or orange, however.) When used with a basecoat of the same or similar color, the wash will quickly shade the color (eg. Green Tone Ink with green orc or goblin skin). A wash used directly on primer will act like a shade (if the basecoats are thin), and is useful to guide you in painting the shaded areas of the model.

just apply at the end of a pait job and BAM, realism. Seriously paint jobs go from good to wow in 15 minutes.
