> 24 hourIts so much faster than my WD drive which fails every 3 years or less. AND this Toshiba drive runs COOL. I dont mean its cool - which it is - I mean not hot. I LOVE IT... Its writing speeds are awesome: WD 700 mb/sec TOSHIBA just went over 1.6GB/s

Color: Silver | Capacity: 4TB | Style: USB-C & USB 3.0 I run windows 11 on both my laptops first thing I did was reformat it (quick format) to NTFS I got some velcro tape and put on the top of both laptops Now I can use the 4TB drive on either machine and it sticks to the top and dont just hang there floppin around I have my machines set for drives to go to sleep after Idle a bit Takes a second or 2 to come out of sleep mode but other than that read/write/move/delete functions are quick Very nice drive at Great price Would recommend it to everyone.

> 24 hourI’ve only ever had the best experiences with Toshiba. I had 3 prior to this for how many years I can’t remember and they’ve only have ever been good which is why I opted for this brand when getting more capacity. This is a person who have tried MOST major brands over the years. All those are on the side waiting for the right tech to be able to retrieve what I lost while Toshiba steadily does the job

> 24 hourI placed hundreds of items (photos and videos) on this hard drive for storage. The cords readily connect to my mac computer and my ipad. Transferring the files was a simple process. I am now deleting the files from other devices. The device and cords are easily to store. The device is worth the cost.

> 24 hourI auto back up my computers every night. I am pleased with the physical size and 4 tb capacity of this portable hard drive. I had an initial problem that took awhile to resolve, but turned out to be an easy fix. The problem was that my computer would not boot when the new drive was plugged in. The easy fix is to reformat the drive from fat to ntsf. Now, no problem. It would be helpful if this issue was addressed with instructions in the box. Without instructions, it took me awhile to figure it out.

> 24 hourI purchased this rather than less expensive options because it was listed as a solid state drive - but it is not! I think this is highly problematic

> 24 hourThis is sold on Amazon as a solid state portable drive, but while it is indeed portable, this is not a solid state drive. it vibrates like an ordinary external hard disk, and Indeed, there is no reference to a solid state characteristic on either the packaging, the insert or the disk itself. This is clearly mislabeled.

> 24 hourThis product is frustrating and unreliable. Bought to back up several of my computers, I experienced weird errors and the inability to transfer or save modified files back to this drive. While attempting to back up and older Dell, none of the target files would transfer due to a volume dirty error. Yet my older LaCie drive handled this task easily. When I used Adobe Acrobat to combine several of the files on the Toshiba drive, the resulting file would not store back on it but had to be written to a different drive. Trying to transfer 93 GB of files on the Toshiba to the 483 GB of free space on the LaCie, I got numerous errors for too little memory, or device not specified. In short, this drive can SOMETIMES back up files, which are then unable to be transfered to a computer where the files can be used. I deem this drive too flaky to be useful, and it will be returned as soon as I can find a way to back up this lousy backup.
