Have had issues with these plugs since day one but they finally managed to stay connected to my Alexa devices long enough for the return period to Pass. No matter what I tried, nothing work. Reconnecting to Alexa app, the device app, the network, resetting everything and still no connection. What a waste!! Stick to the Amazon plugs. They work best. Update: since posting the reviews above, I was contacted by their customer service. They were very friendly and wanted to rectify the situation. They also informed me that I was still in my warranty period, a year later. They quickly sent out replacement plugs. I’ve installed them and they seem to be right on the money for now. Only time will tell again. So I’m upgrading my 2 stars to 4.

This is the second set of TreatLife products Ive purchased. The first was a set of 4 light switches. The value and ease of use of those encouraged me to purchase these smart plugs when I needed some recently. As you can see in the picture, I am using it to control a space heater. That heater is located in my workshop. The other morning (before the smart plugs) I came out to find that heater running. I forgot to turn it off the night before! Bad news. Fortunately, nothing happened, but I immediately searched for a smart plug so I can set up a schedule to turn it off automatically every night just in case I forget again. When the plugs arrived (the next day wit Prime shipping), I opened them up and followed the written instructinos. NOTE: The instructions for the plugs say to download the TreatLife app, which I did, but wondered why I didnt already have it given the prior set up of light switches. Turns out they changed the name (at least) from SmartLife. I tried logging into the new app with my existing credentials, but it didnt recognize them. I pulled out the light switch instructions - how I found out the app name changed - and ran SmartLife. The old app recognized me and also recognized the new plug quickly and set up was just fine. Connected it to my Google Home devices, set up the nightly schedule, and now I dont worry about burning down my shop any more!

I bought these for the timer and the convince of being able to configure and switch on/off with my phone. But I ended up connecting it to my Alexa abs really surprised at how much I use it and how convenient it is to use voice commands to turn the light on. The only issue I have had is that it has disconnected a few times where I had to set it up again. Also when you set it up, you have to have WiFi on, Bluetooth, and everything else it asks for or it just doesn’t want to work. So I ended up letting it have all the access it wanted, set up the plug, then Turned off the access to the services in iPhone preferences.

We bought these for our Christmas Lights throughout the interior of the house so that we could ask Alexa to turn them on/off for us. Setup was slightly tedious in having to download the proprietary app, and then add each plug individually (Admittedly though, this may be user error). Once added, theyve worked flawlessly with Alexa to manually turn on/off (we havent tried a schedule yet since the kids are having joy asking Alexa to turn them on/off). One last note: Since their placement varies in distance form the WiFi Router, they dont always turn all on/off at the exact same moment, but do switch their state as asked.

I bought these plugs to run high wattage items. These plugs work extremely well, but I do not recommend them because it is very confusing to set up. The instructions are printed to that you need a magnifying glass to read them. Using our phone to set it to the internet took several attempts. Once you get it set up with Alexa, it works quite well. This is a good product, but setup is a nightmare. Of all our electrical devices we have, this was the most difficult to set up. This would be a lot easier if you could use the computer to set it up.

    Greater than one week

Plugs were easy to install and use. But, one of the 4 plugs stopped working just short of a month after setup. And did not start again after reboot.

Plugs work as expected. Much easier to program than Wemo plugs.
