NOTE: I received these at no cost to review. I have purchased several Treatlife products (smart switches) in the past and used the SmartLife app to configure. These devices came with instructions to configure using the Treatlife app, and to enable a skill and link to my Amazon account. I had not done this before so I reached out to customer support for clarification and they were helpful and timely. Once configured, I was able to easily recognize and use Alexa for voice control. I tested the timer function and it works great. I tried using the smart plug with a Levoit Air Filter. It would power on then power off immediately (reason for 4 stars). Not sure why. I tested all four plugs with a large fan, small fan, and two desk lamps. These all worked OK. A good deal when buying 4 for under $22.

I confess to experiencing a bit of confusion when setting up these smart plugs through the Alexa app. Somehow I missed the TreatLife app in the Apple App Store and as a result of a Google search discovered that there are two other apps that are basically identical to the TreatLife app. I installed both of those and set up one of the plugs, but Alexa was not able to find the device afterwards. I struggled with the setup for a few minutes and then set everything aside. A few days later, my second search of the App Store yielded the TreatLife app. Once the devices were set up properly in that app and the accounts were linked, Alexa saw the devices without any further steps from me. All the functionality of the Alexa app works perfectly with these devices and Im very pleased with the results.

We have used these Treatlife (TL) outlets, and one other, TL compatible outlet, for about 3 years now. We have them installed at our home and in my sons home. The App is easy to use and you can group devices by location. We can access both homes from ANYwhere there is internet. You can program timers by day, multiple on/off sessions. The outlets have a button for local control. The only application that (eventually) failed was a restaurant espresso machine which probably was too high amperage. However you can get higher power outlets that interface with TL so everything is accessible from the App. Highly recommended.

We were using several mechanical timers that were not very accurate and would make buzzing noises. These smart plugs are smaller, quiet and have accurate timers. The app uses Bluetooth initially to identify the plug. You then connect it to your wi-fi (make sure to have your wi-fi password ready). Setting a schedule was a bit confusing, the on/off indicator is strange. You set the time first, touch on/off, change it (to on or off), then confirm (the app says Confrim) and then touch Save. Once Id programmed the first plug, the other three were easy. I have not tried grouping the plugs. You just need the app on your phone to set/control these smart plugs. You do not need Alexa.

As an entry level smart home device, this cant be beat!! Plug your floor lamp into it, you can turn it on-and-off from anywhere. Plug your old coffee maker into it, and its suddenly a smart coffee maker! Hook your crockpot to it, and you can turn it off while running errands! Put a box-fan in your window, and you can have it automatically turn on the fan when the outside temperature reaches a low level, turn it back off when the outside temperature reaches a high level. You can also set an automatic timer, after you turn it on, itll automatically turn off after any amount of time. Or, have it turn on and off at the same time of day. It has a side-button to manually turn on-and-off the device. You can disabled the side button to prevent small fingers from fiddling with it. Lastly, if you have smart switches, you can add rules to turn this on and off with the switch. Its like adding something to the circuit without having to rewire the house! (PS: Dont plug your modem/router into it, especially if you cant reach the plug!)

Easy to set up and integrate with Alexa. I started out with a four-pack. Now I have 12. Love them. Tried other brands but returned them because they wouldnt connect. These are the best.

I have TreatLife switches, outlets and dimmers all through my house. I love them. This item, like all their products, I have used, is super simple to install, integrates easily with Alexa (I do not use Google Home) and just works. I powered this new product up, switched my phone to 2GHz and fired up the Smart Life application. Note, I did not use the TreatLife application, I may reconsider if I see issues but all my other TreatLife products use this application so that is what I am using. Took less than 2 minutes to have the outlet up and running. Recovers quickly from a power hit and is similar in size to the other well-known products out there that I am using. It also has some nice features such as child lock, resume last state upon power restoration and the ability to enable/disable the small outlet active LED. There are also various timer modes. I have a used their tech support before and they are very responsive. Bottom line, this is a good product at a good price. I recommend it without hesitation.

I have used their Smart Switches before and was looking forward to getting the Smart Plugs. Was able to set them up within minutes of receiving them. They were very easy to setup. Was using mechanical timers earlier and had to run around the house and reset them each time the power went out. Update after one week of use: Was trying to use the Schedule feature as a timer. Was easy to setup but the entries keep getting turned off randomly everyday. Cant use them at all in a reliable manner. Tried to get help but got no meaningful help. I am going to be returning these and have ordered a set from another manufacturer. Update after several months of use: You can get around the Schedule issue by using Cycle Timer. They perform the same function and do not get randomly reset as the Schedule function.
