19-11-2024These have been up for several months. I havent had any signal issues and they are very responsive with Alexa on the app and with my Echo devices. Lots of options on the native app and less but effective options with the Alexa app.

> 3 dayI have been a user of smart home products for 10+ years. More recently, there are many wifi-connected devices available that are more flexible and much more affordable. Ive tried several different smart plugs, and have been impressed with the Treatlife offering. They are easy to setup, program, and work reliably. Im also glad that they work with the generic Smart Life app, as some of the others will only work with their own proprietary variant. The Treatlife app is quite good on its own. It also handles a full 15 amps, some of the others will only switch 10 amps, which could contribute to the wide form factor, which is the only downside I have found with the product.

> 3 dayThese were very simple to install and use with Alexa. I was initially annoyed that I needed to download yet another app, but that’s the price of not buying the Amazon plugs. Fortunately, it works great with Alexa so the savings are definitely worth the extra effort.

> 3 dayI have bought several bar ads before. Some have worked 100% and some had several in the box that did not work at all. This was a box of four. One would not connect after repeated attempts. I put it away and will try again later. I am not sure what brands are 100% that will also work with Smartlife. The add device function worked easier on these than previous modules.

> 3 dayI had several 3 yr old smart plugs from another manufacturer and one of them finally bit the dust - I tried to reset it and it totally refused to find the WiFi. I was concerned it might be an issue with my newish router, although all of my other smart devices didnt have an issue. So I set off to find a replacement with a few specific features - it needed to be heavy duty enough to run my coffee maker, it needed a built-in schedule function, and of course a good price. Voila, I found these Treatlife plugs with these features and a great price! It was so easy and fast to set up, especially compared to days of fighting with my old plug - practically instantaneous. My router was vindicated. The schedule feature works well and turns my coffee maker at on and off at different times, depending on day of the week. It works well with Alexa. Ive only set up one so far, so hopefully the rest go as smoothly. I also had occasion to contact Treatlife, and got a super fast response, which was impressive. Based on my limited experience, I would have no qualms about buying again or giving some as gifts.

19-11-2024I only used these with the app, not the voice assistant option. Everything works well enough, and my only complaint with these is that they sometimes will randomly turn off. It happens with heavy draw and light draw equipment, and in different physical locations. It seemed to happen regardless if I swapped out the plugs. I have never used this kind of Internet of Things device before, so I dont know if that is just a feature of this type of tech. There is a setting in the app to tell the plug to resume the last state, and it will do that - its just a little disconcerting to be sitting there and the light goes out, comes back, goes out again and then comes back and stays on. We dont have any power or wi-fi issues that I am otherwise aware of, so not sure whats going on. I also did try resetting the power plugs per the instructions. The concept seems like a good one, and the equipment seems otherwise well made, so I am assuming I got a bad batch or I am doing it wrong, which is why I am only dinging it one star.
