> 3 dayThis is so easy! No need for any soda ash. I even did them dry so the dye would really take with bold colors. You just add water to the dye and the bottles have colored tops so you know which color is which. Came with lots of gloves, tons of rubber bands, and a great instruction sheet with lots of ideas. Shirts turned out fantastic! Very happy. Only thing that is questionable is that the replacement dye packs are $35 on Amazon, so much more than the kit itself. Why?

> 3 dayMy boyfriend loves his tie dyed Bombas socks but you can’t get them anymore. So, I ordered white ones and got this kit to do our own. I washed them first, then soaked them in soda ash solution for 20 minutes (bought a small package of it at Walmart) and then applied the colors. The little squirt bottles made it easy to apply the color. Sure, some leaked a little bit, but not bad. I put each pair of socks in a separate ziplock bag and let them set up for around 2 hrs. Then I rinsed heavily with cold water until water ran clear then took off rubber bands. Once rubber bands were removed I rinsed again until water was clear. Now time to wash them all. I love how the colors came out. I would definitely recommend this kit. It does say to let the color sit on the item for 6-7 hrs. Because I soaked in soda ash first I didn’t feel this was necessary. Also, be careful not to let items touch one another after you rinse and remove rubber bands. The colors can bleed until they’ve been washed a few times.

> 3 dayVery easy and convinient to use. I highly recommend putting gloves on when filling the bottles with water. The colors do stick wellmon cotton clothing. We used almost all the bottles except repeat colors for 3 adults and 2 children and had about 3 articles of clothing each, not including socks. Still had leftsovers that can be used for a second round. I do like this brand and would purchase again in the future.

Greater than one weekEasy to use, colors are pretty and vibrant. The black runs everywhere and ends up being navy blue. I recommend skipping the black color all together. It turned everything purple.

> 3 dayThe good: there we re a lot of colors to choose from, my daughter and I ended up doing 6 shirts and we used half of the colors (saving the rest for another time). Some of the colors were pretty similar, but that made it easy to split the kit in half. The bad: I followed the directions exactly as given, but once I washed the shirts out, they looked very faded, like we made them years ago. The kit we got last summer produced much more vibrant colors that lasted after washing, and look more vibrant even now, a year later. Overall, it is a nice kit, especially in terms of color variety and amount of product you receive. It is easy to use and comes with design suggestions (which we used, and we made some pretty cool patterns).
