Greater than one weekThis kit RULES. I love tie dye, my husband loves tie dye, our SON loves tie dye. Who doesnt? Its so fun! Okay so heres some background Im 27, my husband is 28, our son will be 4 in September. We wanted something easy and mess free, most importantly for our sons sake. These are SO EASY. You simply add water to the bottles, shake, and tie dye! The amount of colors you get is phenomenal for the value and in comparison to some other kits I saw out there. We were able to tie dye an adult sweatshirt, an adult t-shirt, a toddler sweatshirt, 5 toddler shirts, and our son wanted to tie dye his undies! We easily couldve done more, we just didnt have anything left to dye! Some of the colors are similar, but that doesnt bother me. Also this stuff DYES. I didnt wear gloves...yeah big no no. My hands were stained for days. So please wear gloves! And as for the quality of the tie dye, PHENOMENAL. I saw some complaints on here about how the colors werent vibrant...Im not sure why that would be because our shirts came out amazing. After we dyed, we put each shirt in its own plastic bag and let it sit over night with the elastics still on them. Then the next day we took the elastics out and gave them a rinse and let them air dry. Im telling you they came out awesome!

Greater than one weekKids LOVED every single part of the process. The preparation, the actual dyeing, the waiting and the washing and wearing! It comes with every single thing you need to tie-dye. (Aside from the fabric you wish to color) And it comes with a lot of dye. The instructions are very detailed and even have a few tutorials on various patterns you can use. We managed to dye so many pieces with this kit...I do believe, 6 shirts, a tapestry(which was a queen sheet) and a pillowcase with a lot left over. It says to use the dye within 1 hour of mixing them up becuse it will begin to fade and the colors wont be as vibrant. Which was plenty of time. The kids cant wait to do more. The clean up is super easy and its not messy. We used baking racks to dye ours on outside and tang worked well. We wrapped them in plastic grocery bags we had lying around and then wrapped them the plastic tarp it comes with. In the Texas summer heat. We rinsed and washed them 9 hours after they were finsihed dying and the colors are still vibrant after going through the laundry a few times! Cheap and easy fun!

> 3 dayThis kit is simply amazing. I dont often write reviews, but depend on them when purchasing products so I thought I would lend my endorsement to this wonderful kit. It was so simply to use and had an enormous amount of dye and everything you would need for almost any size of project. I had to dye book bags for my class and hadnt ever tie dyed before so I was hesitant. The directions were simple, colors were gorgeous and the process was flawless. I was shocked! I was able to dye 25 cavas book bags and four mens t-shirts, but we ended up discarding all the extra dye so, honestly, we could have even done a larger project. I purchased two kits, but will save the other for next years students. What a great product and a wonderful value. Plus...it was really fun!

> 3 dayHaving never tie dyed before I read up on it and was prepared to soak the garments in a water and soda ash mix. So I washed the shirts as instructed: LITTLE soap and NO fabric softener. Keep in mind that fabric softeners COAT the fibers. If the fibers are coated in something then dye will not adhere to the item. This kit was plenty for 4 of us to do 2 shirts apiece. My son did one shirt having been wet and soaked in the soda ash mixture and the other dry and no soda ash of any kind. The results were the SAME! The dyes soaked in quite well, and we are pleased with our shirts. The dye will stain your hands for a few days if you dont wear gloves, but eventually it will wash off. After a few normal washes the shirts still look good and bright.

> 3 dayBest set of tie dye Ive ever purchased. Bright vibrant colors, and the colors set very quickly. Great price! I have purchased 3 times! Daughter loves making clothes with these! And I enjoy tie dying shirts for myself. I feel like a kid again! Plus this project give me and my Daughter bonding time with something we both love doing! I have actually added a little bit of additional water to these when they get low and the color still comes out just as bright and vibrant. It also recommend to throw away after using, but I have saved bottles as the were still half full and used them a couple of days later, and again, they still came out just as bright and vibrant. I am actually getting ready to purchase this set again as it is better priced and better variety than the local stores carry. The directions recommend to let the colors set for several hours (I cant remember exactly as I tossed the box already but I think it was 6-8 hours), but I have washed the coloring out in just a couple hours and they came out just as bright! We even tie dyed our beach sheet and constantly get compliments as they say it looks professional. Cant wait to tie dye more clothes or items! I just bought a white pair of legging I plan to tie dye! Getting pretty good at this stuff!

> 3 dayLove the variety of colors. Easy to mix colors and came with everything needed but the shirts. I would definitely buy it again. Bought them for my 8 year olds birthday party and had tons of dye left over. Goes a long way!

> 3 dayThis is the second Tulip kit I have purchased through Amazon. I was so impressed with the first one. The first one had less colors, but more dye of each color. This set had 18 colors, but the amount of each color was less. If you want to do tie dyed shirt for a party, then either one of these kits will do. They both have everything you need. The gloves, the rubber bands, etc. All you have to do is bring the shirt (or other item you want to dye) and add water to the bottles. We all made shirts and they turns out GREAT! Really. This is worth the price. I know sometimes they go on sale, but even paying $20 was totally worth it. I highly recommend. If I ever want to do anymore tie dying in the future, Tulip has my business.
