Great dyes that one can use with all the family. Each little bottle, when filled up to the line, gives the shirts strong colors. But they are small, so they run out pretty quickly depending on how many shirts one does. One packet allowed us to make about 5-7 shirts (depending on the style you want/how much dye you use). You can also add more water when a color starts to run low, but just be aware since it’s watered down, it may not come out as dark. Also, make sure to use gloves and use a plastic sheet underneath whatever you dye because it will stain your hands/nails for about 1-2 days. Something that came with a previous packet of tie dye were plastic containers (like the to-go boxes). When we finished our shirts, we then placed them inside of the containers and put them in the microwave for about a minute or two to let the color seep in deeper with the steam/heat. Just be careful because it will be hot when it comes out. After we just let it cool down and then rinsed and wash the shirts. Some color does wash away.

This kit is simply amazing. I dont often write reviews, but depend on them when purchasing products so I thought I would lend my endorsement to this wonderful kit. It was so simply to use and had an enormous amount of dye and everything you would need for almost any size of project. I had to dye book bags for my class and hadnt ever tie dyed before so I was hesitant. The directions were simple, colors were gorgeous and the process was flawless. I was shocked! I was able to dye 25 cavas book bags and four mens t-shirts, but we ended up discarding all the extra dye so, honestly, we could have even done a larger project. I purchased two kits, but will save the other for next years students. What a great product and a wonderful value. Plus...it was really fun!

Overall, I was really satisfied with this kit. The variety of color was great, and the vibrancy of the shirt has lasted through several washes. The kit included everything I could need. It was all super convenient and easy. My only small complaint was that it was hard to seal the bottles completely, or maybe that some water with dye spilled over as I was filling them in the sink, because when I shook them up to mix the dye, a little spatter would escape each time. However, I had no problems with that while I was actually using the bottles to squirt dye, so it really wasnt a big deal. Besides, you gotta expect tie dye to be messy. I would definitely recommend this kit.

I got warehouse deal and it came totally fine. We did this for the first time and loved it. Something we will do now with the kids yearly I think. Came with plenty of gloves and bands! Loved having lots of colors to choose from and the colors look amazing after going through the wash too! We are very happy with our turn out! I would get this kit again. It was powder and we just had to add water! We let it sit overnight and I think that worked great! My rating 5 star - I really like this item, really made me go wow you should get this 4 star- I like this item and it is fine, but didnt go wow you need this 3 star- this item is alright but has a few flaws 2 star- quiet a few flaws I would totally go somewhere else 1 star- junk no good dont waste your time

I have bought this kit 3 times now, and I love it! Colors stay bright after multiple washes (in cold or eco-warm-just because thats what I usually run the washer on). I made burp/spit up rags and crib sheets with the first batch so they have spent quite a bit of time in the washer, not to mention that I have soaked them in Oxyclean and it doesnt ruin the colors. The first 2 pictures are all the items I did with one single kit this last time (dont mind the gag gift boxers LOL). The final picture is from when I first tried this kit 15 months ago and it has survived well through all the washings and the Oxyclean soaks. I do suggest cotton fabric but I noticed that some brands put a thin waxy coating on their fabrics to keep it clean for shipping, so I just wash them on warm with just a little detergent and dry them before binding them. I had no problems with the brands Haines or Fruit of the Loom and didnt prewash them, but had to massage it a bit as I dyed them for full saturation. Heres what I did: 1) I rubber band the fabrics I want to dye with the rubber bands included in the kit, but I also pick up an extra package or two of rubber bands just to make the designs more intricate. 2) I fill each bottle with half the needed amount of water, replace the caps and shake well to dissolve all powder because sometimes the powder can get stuck to the bottom of the bottle. Then I fill the bottles up the rest of the way and shake again. WEAR GLOVES even at this stage or you will have to scrub for days to get it off your skin- like I did, which made my job interview the next day a bit awkward. Hah. ALSO, leave the bottles standing or tilted upright once filled as they tend to leak laying down. 3) I lay out an old plastic shower curtain out in the yard in the shade, get comfortable with a drink and go to town- I use paper towels to wipe up spilled dye between switching colors so it doesnt transfer to other parts of my fabric. I work from lightest dye to darkest on each binded garmet. Also, if I noticed the dye was beading on the fabric and dripping off without absorbing, I just go slow and easy on the dye, and use a gloved finger to massage it in a bit so it will soak into the fabric then it would easily accept the dye when I add some more on. 4) I put all the projects in a tightly knotted plastic garbage bag and leave them in the shaded garage overnight. 5)The next day, I snip the rubber bands and use the garden hose to rinse out and wring out all of the garments. I suggest using running water from a hose or faucet instead of rinsing them in some sort of prefilled tub or basin to keep the white parts from soaking up leftover dye and being less vibrant. 6) I hang them out to dry fully for a few hours, then I machine wash them on delicate, cold water with an extra rinse and spin. After first initial washing, I just toss them in with the rest of the laundry (except whites of course) and I have had no issues yet. Hope this helps!

We tried this kit after using a more expensive brand (RIT) and a cheaper option (an off brand bought on Amazon). This kit was easy to prep and apply, comes with a great range of colors, and offers good value. Will definitely buy again for our next tie dye adventure.

The kit met my goal of a fun staycation activity for the family. Even my boyfriend had a blast and wanted to get more shirts. It came with everything you needed (minus the t-shirts) and the directions included color photos for the kids to follow. The end product was a little subdued, but I expected that since it doesnt use soda ash to set the color. My only other comment is that the one size fits all gloves definitely dont fit all. My 7 year old walked around for a few days looking like she just went on a homicidal crime spree but the dye didnt cause any skin irritation. We used half the bottles to make 6 shirts, 2 hats, and 3 aprons. We had plenty of leftover dye that we could of done a few more items.
