> 3 dayI purchased this Unifi AP AC Lite so I could play around with Unifi for the first time. I figured it was the best way, and cheapest way, to start with Unifi, even if it was a standalone AP. That being said, I wasnt sure what to expect from this little guy. Once I received it and got it hooked into my network, I started running speed and distance tests on it. AND WOW! I couldnt believe it. Granted, it wasnt much faster than my consumer grade TP Link all in one router, but the range was incredible. I live in a 3000+ square foot house and it literally covers the whole house. The speeds upstairs in the far corner are slow, which is to be expected, but the fact that it reaches is what is amazing. I have gone full on Unifi since my purchase and I am currently in the process of setting up the whole network. If you are looking for a cheap way to get into Unifi, or perhaps your home doesnt require a ton of APs, I HIGHLY recommend this Unifi AP AC Lite.

> 3 dayUsually you’ll never hear anything wrong about Ubiquiti access points unless it’s an installer error or a bug in the free config software (UniFi). Solid performance, make the default 40 to 80 MHz bandwidth change on 5G radio to get the most performance out of your 802.11ac card (reducing coverage a bit) and you’ll be set. I’ve installed a lot of these AP’s never had one with a problem :)

Greater than one weekThese APs are amazing! I bought 2 of them for my 2100 sq ft house and excellent coverage in every room. The WiFi signal also reaches my one upstairs bedroom. I no longer need all of the crappy WiFi extenders and power line adapters that I had all over my house. The setup is so easy using the Ubiquiti Controller software. I have a Mac Mini that is always on as my music server and I run the controller software on it. I have not had one problem with the hardware or software since installing the devices.

> 3 dayI wanted an additional wireless access point for my home. I mounted this in a hallway ceiling and ran ethernet cable back to my router. It was easy to setup and worked great on the first try. Maybe I just got lucky, but it seems like a great product.

> 3 dayRarely write reviews and I am NOT a tech person, but this wireless access point solved a huge issue for me. Our internet in our townhome is pretty fast and reliable throughout the entire place EXCEPT in our newly finished basement where my office is. Obviously a major problem trying to work/video conf/etc. I tried range extenders, and a couple cheap TP link WAPs, but they were pretty awful. Signal was still unstable/weak and would cause drops on calls/lagging all the time. I read online about these Ubiquiti access points and some pretty great reviews. I bought this one and all I can say is WOW. My Ubiquiti is in my garage adjacent to my basement(one wall in between) and my signal is almost as strong as when I stand right next to my main router upstairs. Of course you need an ethernet port for this work, so that is one issue, but if you have that then I 100% recommend this device. It is worth the 90 bucks. I wish I went straight to this rather than waste money on cheap TP-link trash that cant give you decent connection anywhere. If you have a dead zone somewhere, and an ethernet port close by-just buy this-you will not be disappointed.

> 3 dayBought in nov. 2020. Worked pretty good for about a year. Then i started adding alexa and additional devices like light switches, vacuums, cameras, doorbells, and light bulbs. I have had to reset it several times. Alot of the time it says failure to adopt. I’m in my underwear on on the ladder trying to do a hard reset in the middle of the night. Now it says offline, no shite its offline why else would i be messing with it. Not sure where to go from here. Maybe just go back to a regular router i have to unplug to reset once a month? Was hoping this would last for 5 years.

> 3 dayBe aware, read the fine print at the bottom of the description, this is an OPEN BOX item. You may need to reset the settings and there may be parts missing. I recommend spending a few more dollars and getting a brand new one.
