Greater than one weekI purchased this Unifi AP AC Lite so I could play around with Unifi for the first time. I figured it was the best way, and cheapest way, to start with Unifi, even if it was a standalone AP. That being said, I wasnt sure what to expect from this little guy. Once I received it and got it hooked into my network, I started running speed and distance tests on it. AND WOW! I couldnt believe it. Granted, it wasnt much faster than my consumer grade TP Link all in one router, but the range was incredible. I live in a 3000+ square foot house and it literally covers the whole house. The speeds upstairs in the far corner are slow, which is to be expected, but the fact that it reaches is what is amazing. I have gone full on Unifi since my purchase and I am currently in the process of setting up the whole network. If you are looking for a cheap way to get into Unifi, or perhaps your home doesnt require a ton of APs, I HIGHLY recommend this Unifi AP AC Lite.

> 3 dayI just received these yesterday, and let me tell you, they are night and day over the old unifi Aps. These are much faster, easier to setup, and look nicer. If you have a lot of network traffic in your home then this is the only way to go.

> 3 dayI purchased this product over a year ago and it still want work. All I get is cannot find Access point. This has to be the most aggravating item to install. For me Not worth the money!

> 3 dayThis replaced an unreliable router/WAP to provide Wifi coverage in a portion of my home not covered adequately by my Uverse gateways WAP. Once installed and configured it has performed without interruption or incident, a huge win for us. Could not be happier.

> 3 dayIt cant be powered via passthrough from any of the unifi POE switches, which is a PITA. Ill have to put this one in the basement and get a PRO, which I should have done in the first place.

> 3 dayI replaced an EnGenius EAP350 with this. I had been tolerating frequent connection resets for a long time, thinking it was unavoidable. Most folks would never notice, as they dont need rock-solid persistent connections. Gamers would notice it as a ~1 sec lag a few times per day, and I noticed because I was using a USB device server on my network and maintaining a connection to a ScanSnap scanner from my (wireless) laptop. It beeps at you every time it loses connection, even if for only a second, and it would sometimes crash in the middle of a scan. Ive been running for one month now with the Ubiquiti UAP-AC-LITE, and it hasnt dropped or reset the connection a single time. It is much more stable. It really gets 4.5 stars (rounded up this time for being such good hardware). Im not a fan of the way you administer it. It should have the option to serve a web page locally for administration (like every other appliance), rather than requiring a third party or other software on a computer be involved.

Greater than one weekAs always Ubiquity is the best! Took my old AP’s down and installed new ones. Took WiFi range to a whole new level.
