> 24 hourThis is a must have if youre using Ubiquiti WAP or gateway products. While you can run the management software on a standalone computer, this little device is wonderful once plugged into your LAN and a USB power source. It handles provisioning and monitoring of your Ubiquiti devices and does so without skipping a beat. Highly suggest you include this with your Ubiquiti purchase if youre new to their product line, youll be happy you did.

> 24 hourI didnt want to drop the extra coin on a PoE switch, so I was just going to use the micro USB port to power it. Started to plug in the micro USB cable and the connector broke right off of the circuit board. Returned for refund. 0/10, do not recommend. Save your money and just run the service on a PC or Mac.

> 24 hourMy husband installed these over 6 months so this review comes from a time tested set of units. All I have to say is WOW! Wfi has never been better. The units arrived on time, were packaged well and work better than expected.

> 24 hourUbiquitis Unifi Cloud Key works well for remotely monitoring and controlling Wi-Fi networks. Many other reviewers have gotten into the specific pros and cons of the device, but all I want to add is that I strongly suggest using it in conjunction with a UPS and doing a little research into the set-up and configuration beforehand. There are many good YouTube instructional videos out there and it doesnt take much to get it right the first time. Once its set up properly and has a reliable power source, youre all set.

> 24 hourI think it has problems. its on a ups, and still looses its config regularly. Im sure its just this one, given we have on in another location and it works well.

> 24 hourWorked fine initially but tends to disappear from the network after days of operation. Unplugging and re-plugging in will make it visible again. This happens randomly therefore a reliability issue. Needs improvement. The SD card slot has issue. The card can be easily pulled out without any effort after being fully inserted into the spring mechanism. The end sticks out and makes you wonder if it has been seated properly. If it bumps into any objects such as cables, the card will be knocked loose therefore no auto backup can be done when you thought its being done. This is quality control or many of these slot parts are defective. The short cable for connecting the CK to a switch port is nice but oddly designed. I believe Ubiquiti offered such a special cable so it can sustain the stress of dangling. It will allow the CK to dangle in the air without much support, unless you position the switch box farther back so the CK can rest on a platform; but in most applications, you wont have that much space in the front. If you bend the cable upwards and make a flip, the CK will either suspend in the air or rest on the hot surface of the switch. So whatever you do , it will cause stress on the ethernet port, the cable connectors, the cable itself, or you can let the hot CK kiss the already super hot switch surface day after day. Solution: just use you own soft cat cable.

> 24 hourIf you are needing to manage 1 AP or whole networks, the cloud key is a must, should be bundled with every single AP install.

> 24 hourA cloud key isnt required but it greatly simplifies maintaining a unifi setup. Well worth the money in the long run.
