Greater than one weekA great solution if you dont want to run your own Unifi Controller on a dedicated PC.

> 3 dayEven with updated firmware I had issues getting this device to be recognized by the adoption software chrome addon. I had to power cycle it a few times, go into the devices web site directly to update firmware and power cycle a couple more times before I was able to adopt it. Lost a star for that reason.

> 3 dayThese are a good concept and when they work they are better than a local pc. However they tend to crash a lot. I have to reboot mine at least once a week.

> 3 dayI purchased from Amazon in June. Its October and I have been working with Tech Support since purchase. I quickly learned Im not alone after searching for the issue I have... The cloud key I purchased goes offline after about 2 days and the only way to access it is to reboot. I isolated the key in my lab with a basic network and still have the same results. Tech support emails me small troubleshooting snippets every few days to try. The latest they are telling me to do is PRUNE the Cloud Key. This involves running extensive database scripts. Still no luck. I had no issues running the controller from a windows laptop but just wanted a better solution. I love the concept of the Cloud Key but until they resolve the issue of it going offline I would stay away. Going back to the PC controller for now. Good luck.

> 3 dayThese Cloud Keys are awesome. No more needing to run the software console, worrying about Java versions, etc.... Just plug it in, set it up, and you have a 24/7 console monitoring your UniFi setup. You can easily access it locally, or anywhere in the world. I liked this so much, I have been having my clients buy these for their UniFi networks. If you have UniFi APs, or other UniFi products, I highly recommend the Cloud Key.

> 3 dayI decided to install a new wifi in my house. I ordered the Ubiquiti Gateway, 3 access points and the cloud key. I kept my existing switch. I received the gateway and the access points first and I could not wait until I received the cloud key. So I downloaded the software and installed everything. I had a little issue with the mac privacy settings, but after that issue was resolved, set up was a breeze. So when I received the cloud key, I did not know how to switch everything from the software management to the cloud key. I watched a video on Youtube and it was worthless. I messed up the entire network and after 3 hours had gone full circle. So let me save you a bunch of time. It should take 10 minutes tops. Open your software and create a backup of the settings. Follow the directions for setting up the cloud key as a new device. Once that is done, go into the settings and restore the backup you made of the software settings and you are done. It is that easy.

Greater than one weekInstalled and started using after updating the firmware and software. Make sure you backup everything on your network first. Then run the update software and adopt your other devices. Once adopted restore your original configuration. Done. Took about 30 min to update everything and adopt other devices.

Greater than one weekTurns into a BRICK with unexpected power loss. Ubiquitis answer is to use battery backup. Does the guy who wrote the support article not know that UPS devices tend to last two hours at most? Moreover, their suggested fix is a factory reset and loading a backup. In addition to being a PITA, this requires physical access to the location. All of our network infrastructure is Ubi except for the router (routing is done by a $5K Palo Alto Networks firewall). And if we have a power outage that outlasts the two 1500VA UPS units, everything Ubi is toast. We were very high on Ubi products until now. Feature set, UI and price point are very impressive. But reliability wise, they are below a $100 Belkin router from Best Buy. Unless you live in a place where power losses never exceed the capability of your UPS... Get your paper clip ready.

> 3 dayWorks as advertised, seems to run a bit hot but it was a nice upgrade to my Unifi system.

Greater than one weekSetup was a breeze. Lots of features. More geared towards small to medium businesses. Provides multi-site capability (you will need one of these in each location). Low footprint and very low power usage. Using this in my home to control 2 Access Points. Guest hotspot setup with a captive portal works only on simple password mode. Not a big deal. Has been running for about a week without any issues.
