Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Key (UC-CK),White

Ill never go without one of these again. The iOS app is better than the web UI. Setup isnt complicated but if you arent technically inclined, this may not be for you. This has spoiled me though and I wont do without one again.

Simplifying from having a dedicated VM consuming resources to a POE device (powered by a US-48-500W, no less). Transferring the configuration over took some time, but thats just cause the firmware and Unifi Controller needed updating. After that, reset, import a backup, and done. Straight, simple, and I love it.

This is a must have for anyone setting up a Ubiquiti UniFi WiFi network. This allows you to manage all of your WAPs without setting up the software controller on a computer. This product is the computer. Pros: Runs the UniFi Controller software. Low power consumption. Can use POE or micro usb for power. Boots fast. No need to install the Java Controller software on your computer. This thing is small and light. It can easily be zip tied anywhere in your rack. Cons: At this time, setup is best done with the Chrome browser. It can be done with other browsers, but you will need DHCP and be able to determine the IP address on your own. If you have access to your DHCP server and knowledge of IP networking this should be easy, but if not, use Chrome. What is with the giant rigid network cable this comes with??? I dont know anyone who wants this thing sticking out of their rack. I personally used a standard patch cable and zip tied this device to the side of the rack. I now have three of these (one at each of our offices). I highly recommend this product.

Easy install, just used the backup from my Mac controller, uploaded it to the Cloud Key, and deleted the old Mac controller. However the Cloud Key is very warm to the touch

Defective after six months and multiple contacts into support. Manufacturer directed to retailer for a warranty claim.

Neat addition. Saves needing to launch the service in Windows when you need to make a change. Its always on and ready to receive. The remote -access feature is a pleasant addition. It works ok so far. This is simply a small-format mobo running their VyOS implementation. Runs off PoE and has an SD card slot for config & logging.

Works as well as my cisco 3502I simpler too..... ok maybe a little more limited by a menu setup but if your not a CCNA and you dont have a really specific configs or a VPN then this is the way to go for off site support. Allow managing all your ubiquiti hardware. I power mine with my old samsung S2 Cell phone charger but you should purchase a $15 POE injector.. Its working great. 2 month in

brilliant bit of kit! very new to using the ubiquiti products - i have a couple of access points also, work brilliant highly recommend the cloud key and the ACs worth the money :)
