Plugges it into my Windows machine. No drivers to install. Computer automatically switched from Wi-Fi to Ethernet. Done that a couple of times. Unplug and it goes back to wireless. Seamless.

Great to get something at a good price that actually works

Too many times the cable company 1st level techs try to blow you off, knowing youve no portable/report or speed capturing devices attached to discern whether its their modem or your router causing issues, and you dont want to spend 20 minutes arranging your stuff to give them a test response. So, the call ends with them not having to do any real work troubleshooting their issues. This adapter plus a good rj45 cat cable is a quick fix and provides a good answer.

Nice quality product ,in what appears to be aluminum housing case. I believe I got this speed up to 80 megabits per second. That was the highest test of random testing at home. Another product starts with STAR**** company was faster between 180 and 220 MB per second model US1GC308 . On my work phone the same day as the product was being tested was surprised it worked on my cell phone at work. This looks and seems like a good product for some reason the speed performance seems to be lacking Im not a professional I just did some random tests off the internet on my work phone. Perhaps this adapter will work forever because of the quality aluminum housing that appears to be good quality. Perhaps was designed to keep cool in this fashion I do not know. The work phone was Android phone. This makes sense for the product if the item lasts for a long, long time. some adapters failed to work after 2 weeks of heard rumors. Perhaps this is worth the money in that case and situation very intelligent engineering if that is the situation and reason for the speed adapter shows 1000Mbps in the description. But all my tests were between 60 megabits per second and 80 megabits per second tested on work phone.BAR CODE X002ER83GB on the box. I would suggest the purchase if theyre interested. Ive never had an ethernet adapter get hot yet.====== Update.Todays test shows over 250 Mbps

I upgraded to a 1 gig internet package and needed to verify the download speeds. I used this to connect my Laptop to the Wifi Router and was pleased to be getting download speeds around 967 mbps. Without this USB C to Ethernet device I had no way to connect my Laptop to the Wifi Router as my Laptop has no ethernet port. This seems to be well made and works plug and play on Windows 11. Highly recommend this item!

I have previously bought the Cable Matters version of this product with excellent performance. Seeing the ratings on the UGreen version, and being very happy with other UGreen products I did not hesitate to pick up two of these. Well, I got them in, nicely packaged in their boxes, and both units were totally DOA. I am a computer technician with +30 years experience in networking. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH UGREEN. Just reordered an additional two from Cable Matters.
