> 24 hourI took this umbrella to the Galapagos after reading reviews about the intense sun on the equator. I used it every day, and never got a sunburn. I also stayed much cooler in the shade of my umbrella than my sun-worshipin friends, and which helped me stay hydrated and have more stamina. I will say that I was expecting the umbrella to be smaller for a travel size. It was about a foot long, but it was still lightweight. I hope theyll make one half that size, I will purchase it!

> 24 hourGreat sun protection. Sturdy. Not the most beautiful accessory but that’s not what I got it for. I feel 5-10 degrees cooler under this than without in the sun

> 24 hourPicked up a couple of these for use at an outdoor music festival in July. The claim that it is 15 degrees F cooler under the umbrella is valid. Im not easily impressed, but this umbrella does what it should. Its only wide enough for one person to fit under and its best to angle the top of the umbrella toward the sun for maximum coverage. This company needs to make bigger models; an umbrella for two and a big beach umbrella should be their next products.

> 24 hourThis is an amazing product. I ordered it for vacation - we went to Orlando and hit all the theme parks. It was super hot. I used my UV umbrella at every park and it really helps to cut out the heat & sun. I have a very light complexion & I burn easily. I didnt burn at all using this umbrella. Some of the park rangers at Animal Kingdom remarked that this is the right kind of umbrella for hot climates & I was the first person they had every seen with one. I highly recommend this jewel. I am still using it now as I live in South Texas. I am still amazed at how well it works.

> 24 hourI love this Umbrella and highly recommend to anyone seeking protection from sun. I have an 8 month old baby and it has been an invaluable go-to when travelling overseas. It allows me to go anywhere worry free as I always have shade for my little guy. While visiting Greece this has been key for me not missing out on archaeological sites with him in tow.

> 24 hourDid a heat test on a 95° day. From underneath the UV Blocker temp was 105° the standard black Umbrella was 142° these temperatures were read after Umbrellas sat in sun for 15 minutes. Dropped 1 star because mechanism in handles need to be built out of something other than plastic. 2 Umbrellas broke after only a couple of months of use.

> 24 hourPerfect UV blocker umbrella. Perfect size, good weight, sturdy. The only criticism would be that the spring loaded release mechanism doesnt open the umbrella fully. But thats a minor thing and it doesnt stop me from loving the umbrella. Also I love the logo on the side as I no longer feel like the crazy woman walking around fully clothed with an umbrella whilst almost everyone else is wearing as little as possible! People can now see why Im using it. Ive also had lots of comments about how great it is. Anyway now Im protected and cool Im happy!

> 24 hourI have not had a chance to use this yet. it does seem like a great quality but will know how it works when we get back in the end of November. It is a little heavy though for a travel umbrella but we will see

> 24 hourI wasnt sure about spending the money they were asking for to purchase this umbrella. Compared to some others it was a bit pricey. I was particularly interested because of the SPF rating. I was diagnosed with Lupus last year and have found exposure to UV usually nets me hives and itching. Ive been using it for a few months now and the umbrella is worth EVERY PENNY! Its excellent quality. You can tell, it feels sturdy and glides smoothly when opening and closing. It has a button that you press to open. The description said there is a 15 degree difference under the umbrella. Most of the time its too humid to really tell but sometimes its a noticeable difference. Today for instance it was quite pleasant to walk outdoors while walking underneath it. The inside of the car was a different story but the umbrella cant do anything about that. What I really love about it is not worrying about putting a bunch of sunscreen on to walk down to the mailbox or take the garbage out.

> 24 hourHaving previously owned a uv ray blocking umbrella from the Breast Cancer Association (that I lost somewhere), I found this umbrella while looking to replace the other. The price was a bit formidable (had to talk myself into buying it) but now that I use it, I find it is definitely a good value for the money. My other umbrella was flimsy compared to this one. This has substantial weight to it and requires a good grip. As others have said, the handle is a bit awkward. But...despite that, I love this umbrella! I like that it has the Melanoma Association approval, a really dependable testimony to the effectiveness of the uv ray blocker. Having an illness that is exacerbated by uv rays, I feel that endorsement gives me confidence the product will work as advertised. Other umbrellas sold on Amazon just say they have uv protection, but with this umbrella, I have no doubt. The claim that it reduces the heat under the canopy by 15 degrees seems plausible to me. I really love the cover with the carrying ropes; it comes in handy. If you are looking for a genuine uv blocking umbrella that is sturdy and delivers what is promised, this is the umbrella you should buy.
