> 3 dayI have not had a chance to use this yet. it does seem like a great quality but will know how it works when we get back in the end of November. It is a little heavy though for a travel umbrella but we will see

> 3 dayI think the first thing to mention is when you press the button to open it, it pops out with such a force it left my hand! Maybe because I wasnt expecting that. I found it heavy mainly because there isnt a good grasp. I found the handle is insufficient for the force and weight. I returned and ordered their model with a handle...not only is it a bit wider, but is lighter and far easier to handle. I like all the sun blocking attributes and think that company is the best.

> 3 dayThis was called a travel umbrella, I guess because it has a cover that can be slung on your shoulder by a strap? It is HEAVY. I live in the desert, I need a sun blocker when I walk my dog. After 30 minutes of holding this my hand/arm were very fatigued. It is way too big and way too heavy for a brisk 30 minute walk. I did jot want to buy the smaller umbrella because it had a really cheesy handle. An expensive blunder of a purchase. It did block the sun but impossibly heavy. Not for daily dog walking.

> 3 dayI love the weight and feel of this. Weight indicates quality to me. And it comes with a carrying case with a strap that can be worn like a backpack. It is comfortable to hold and I felt absolutely protected vs. not having it. I tend to undo the velcro starts and hold the frame from the inside, keeping it ready to open at a moments notice. A word of caution: Most people walking wont have umbrellas, and this is a pretty wide one. Be careful not to poke anyone. In terms of people staring because you have an umbrella on a sunny day? Are we in grade school? So what?! Check out my pic of the indoors use. It protects me from a glaring sun while working at home too.

> 3 dayIm giving this five stars because it blocks the suns rays beautifully -- but, I wish it came in a feminine design! I wound up returning it because it was a little large when folded up -- not really a demure look when carrying it around shopping, etc. I will still probably buy the compact version, but only use it if I have to walk a long distance, etc. I feel bad saying this, but I was a little embarrassed carrying it! It just does not have the pretty factor! They would have such a massive hit on their hands if they made the compact version more aesthetically pleasing! Do something cute with the silver, loose the text and the logo and add some feminine touches! As I said, I will buy the compact one, but will only use when I have to! Other than my silly complaints, its an awesome umbrella and protects your skin superbly.

> 3 dayI really love this UV blocker and, in a way, it’s difficult to describe what it does in simplistic terms on paper. In bright high-UV sunlight, the UV blocker blocks out the radiant heat/UV rays. With an inexpensive sun shade, while it blocks out some of the bright light, you can still feel the radiant heat on your skin as UV rays can still penetrate the material. Conversely, the UV blocker is akin to standing under a shady overhang while the intense sun’s UV rays beats down from above. You no longer feel that radiant heat on your skin while under the UV blocker and, while the UV blocker is a bit heavier than a $10.00 sun shade, it does do what it was designed for.

> 3 dayI love this UV umbrella! It is very well made and works very well to protect me from sunlight and heat. It is very sturdy, and opens and closes beautifully. The cover has a cord that allows you to carry the closed umbrella over your shoulder; the cover is also nice and large so you don’t have to fight to slip the umbrella into the cover.

> 3 dayWe need protection from the sun--always did but just wising up after some scares--and selected this because it is approved by the Melanoma International Foundation, has high 55 UPF rating, provides venting and is travel size. It is probably a 5-star umbrella but I did rate it a 4 because it is so much heavier and longer and bulkier than any travel umbrella Ive ever had. The material is very substantial, for example, so I will fold it down and attach it closed with the two Velcro closures but I will not struggle much beyond that to get it back into the carrying case. But, really, who cares? This is to protect us from the rays of the sun and it should do a fine job at that. Its protection I should have had and been willing to use years ago.
