The WD My Passport (2T) is a great product that surpasses other external drives I have try before. Compact, easy to use and FAST!

I have many WD external drives and have had no issues so when I saw the external SSD I had to try it. So far this has been great - it is small, light weight and fast!

I had purchased a device like this (My Passport SSD External Portable Hardrive) over a year ago like this and it has worked beautifully with my MAC. This one and another with less storage did not convert properly and I spent hours trying to have them work. I contacted Amazon and returned both. It was noted on my account, that it was returned and my credit card credited for the full amount. It’s been over a month since the credit should have been on my account. I have not received a credit on my account and there is no easy way to communicate with someone from Amazon. I have been a prime member for MANY YEARS! Go to the contact page for a phone number and “oops, something went wrong” comes up. You must be kidding! After all the $$ Amazon has raked in during the pandemic and all the people unemployed, yet there is no one in customer service to speak with or chat with on line. It should not be this hard. Extremely disappointed in the product and more disappointed in Amazon.

I love this little SSD. Its probably the fastest external drive Ive ever had the pleasure of using, and it doesnt even get hot during use. Its small and lightweight, and plugs in to any USB-C port on any computer and works with no hassle. So far its been an absolute treat, and its smaller than a credit card!

This is a wonderful purchase-the password protection is invaluable! I had bought Seagate in the past because they were recommended. I have had Seagates crash on me, but so far, never a Western Digital.

Works fine - fast - USB cord is very short - like 3 or so inches long

Its a 1 TB SSD. It looks like the picture in the listing. It was the correct color. It supports USB3. The only thing I dont know is how long it will be in service.

My first SSD drive, and though its more expensive than a standard drive, there is a big level of ease, knowing that there are no moving parts to crash and destroy the platter... and of course all of the data on it. Very happy to have it, after going through the agony of 2 hd crashes in the last 6 months, and nearly losing a ton of photography and writing. Very compact and well mad.

My son-in-law suggested this item for backup on my laptop. I was hesitant when I received it because its so small compared to my older desk top model. I was able to easily download all my items and it appears to work great! I wanted something sturdy and reliable and this is the one that he suggested even though it cost a bit more than some other options.
