> 3 dayWell, my expectation was to get it moving seven, eight, nine, ten times faster than the ten year old motherboard, usb 3.0 port that I have been using . . . Acronis backup - full. Uses 460GB and then said it had 1.5 terra left. I really wished to get my son and I TWO backups and tit really looks like there is not enough terras left . . . Grumble . . . . Wow, it it so TINY for $400 !

02-06-2025Although portable, I use this mounted to the side of my Mac Mini to add much needed storage for photos and work files. Plug it in and forget about it.

> 3 day(+) The memory is solid state so no moving parts should mean no losses from disk damage. (-) Its always warm to touch indicating continuous standby power consumption but no visible indicator (led) that it is storing data. Also it is roughly the same size as a hard disk drive and I expected it would be smaller in view of current high transistor/diode densities available. I have only been using it for a couple of weeks so no idea on durability.

> 3 dayWorks great right out of the box. My only complaint with the product is with the USB-C cable + USB A adapter. It has a groove on both the adapter and cable allowing it to plug in only one way which is a bit annoying. Other than that this is a superb product

> 3 dayLimited testing on an Inspiron 7573. No optimization beyond token attempts to keep drivers up to date. Windows 10, usable as D: second I plugged it into a port. No issues moving to other ports. Approximately the same size as a business or credit card, although not as wide. Will be lost the first time My kids unplug it. Downloading an installing a single Steam game at 10MB/sec Connected to usb-c port (has DisplayPort logo next to it) Writes to drive burst above 30MB/s but mostly stayed around 20-25ish. Avg response time 3-8ms. Connected to USB port marked SS for superspeed Writes solid at 20-23is, no burst, but response time 10-20ms. Please note, connected to usb-c i’ve seen write bursts to 140MB/sec. I don’t know if I can truly say the top speed of this drive, but the port on your machine may make a significant different

> 3 dayFast, small, light, and the size surprised me enough that I took my wifes key and put it beside it to take a picture. Just what I wanted for when Im traveling, and what I wanted for a physical backup of data from my Mac. This makes the third copy of data in three formats easy and painless. It took about 10 minutes to copy 150 gigs. I cant speak to the durability yet since Ive only had it a few days, but with no moving parts like a HDD would have, Id guess itll be durable over time.

> 3 dayI bought the product, plugged it into my MacBook Pro. It recognizes it. Great, it seems that all is well now I want to back up my laptop onto it. Tried to back it up using the time machine and then for some reason it stopped being recognized and the icon on the desktop is gone. Now I have no idea what is wrong, tried to call, tried to have a live chat, but they are closed. Restarted my laptop, unplugged and plugged the external hard drive back in, and even connected it to my spouses MacBook and still nothing. Now I have a $200+ 1 TB external hard drive that was supposed to be plug in and ready to use, not working. I have no support or help and all I feel is anger for trying to buy something of quality, but instead, I got a terrible product and terrible service. Dont waste your time on this product buy something else.

> 3 dayMy son was happy with this gift. I didnt know what it was. After a long explanation by him I know now that is a computer in its own merit. Hes using it by now in his job, and has been qualified (by him) as the better gift of the later years.

> 3 dayWow. I was told both by a specialist who upgrades computers and knowledgable friend that using an SDD external drive would not speed up my computer. Wrong. I moved my entire operating system and cloned my internal drive to this thing and it is lightning fast. Apps that used to bounce on my iMac for 15-30 seconds now open almost as fast as they are clicked. Just look up the specs on your computer and make sure you have at least USB 3.0 (thats what I have). Otherwise youll get external bottleneck from the USB connection and it wont make a difference. To reiterate- this thing can make your computer outrageously fast. My internal drive has officially been relegated to the dust bin. I may use it for extra storage in the future.
