> 3 daySeems to do what its supposed to do. Bought it at a substantial discount. There are features that allow you to store things on a remote server aka cloud. I am wondering if when it is time to renew, I will be able to get a sale price again or will my remotely stored files be held for ransom if I dont pay MSRP.

> 3 dayIve used Webroot previously and was pleased, but after reading stellar reviews of Bitdefender I decided to give it a try. BIG MISTAKE!!! Bitdefender caused daily blue screen abends on both of my Windows 7 machines and would not download at all on my Windows 8 machine. Emails to tech support only resulted in a generic reply. Thankfully I was able to uninstall it and bought a new copy of Webroot. Its a great program in every way. Installation and setup was a breeze and no more system abends! I know better than to look elsewhere in the future. Thanks Webroot team!

Greater than one weekUpdate on March 10, 2017 Raising my rating to 2 stars because of Webroots responsiveness, although it took them a week to actually understand the problem and provide relevant advice. Meanwhile, I returned the disk to Amazon, Googled reviews for security software, saw Webroot was still highly rated for its out-of-box approach and found a link in the PCWorld review which allowed me to renew my software for only $29.99 ($50 off--good until June, 2017.) That went very smoothly. Just entered my activation code and was up and running for another year. I declined the automatic renewal as it locks you in to paying full retail. I prefer to shop and save 60+%. And how tough is it to type security software reviews 2017 into Googles search box? Cannot go higher than 2 stars because installation from this disk is not straightforward and requires special effort from the renewal user to find the activation code in their Amazon order and enter it before their installed, expiring/expired software will (based on Webroots feedback) permit installation of the new software or simply renew it. This is WAY TOO complicated. Was not like this any previous year. Webroot NEEDS TO FIX THIS. If I could rate this lower, I would. What you need to know is if you currently have Webroot software, this disc will not install. Instead of running, it just takes you back to your installed version warning you to renew at an additional cost of $79.99. Moreover it will not uninstall, insisting your password is incorrect. Interesting ploy from a drowning company. Used to love Webroot, but it has betrayed my trust. Not good for a security company. Webroot used to be excellent. My recommendation, go elsewhere for your security software. Webroot has lost its way.

Greater than one weekIve been using Webroots product for the last 10 months, and due to the fact that my laptop is still free of any issues is a testament to the effectiveness of this product and my careful web surfing. Im not a digital techy, so I cant give you the nuts and bolts of why this has been working so well. I can tell you that Webroot works so quickly and seamlessly in the background that you have to check now and then that its still engaged. Ive used Norton, McAfee, and Kaspersky over the years and found that they were either memory hogs, or run slowly robbing resources, and sometimes both. What I find frustrating is that online reviews of virus, etc., software are very unreliable, with many of them being overly complimentary while others pan the very same product. How much influence do these software manufacturers have on these sites that accept advertising? Consumer Reports is probably the most trusted source (accepting no advertising), but they didnt include this Webroot product in their last review. Another frustration is that when its time to renew, manufacturers, including this one, start sending reminders at least 60 days in advance of the end of the service period. Their offer for renewal never shows the best price available, so shopping again for the same software online is strongly recommended. I dont have any issue with the product, but the marketing schemes used by these companies is anti-consumer, especially toward their existing customers. Ever felt that way about your cable company or your cell phone provider? Do software manufacturers really want to be lumped with cable companies occupying the bottom of the list of trusted service providers?

> 3 dayThere is only great things to say about Webroot. I have used Webroot for many years and I have been more than pleased with their product. I have never had any problems with their software and/or having anything get through their defense system. I will never use anything else but Webroot, there is no need to use anything else. It catches everything and is so simple to use. Install it, schedule the time to scan and you are done. Great product.

> 3 dayFirst Time Web root buyer i am pleased so far, the Installation was fast and easy with the PC Disc on one PC and 2 Laptops. After a week this has been protecting our computers and most of all there has been no sign of our computers and laptops being slowed by the Web root software. I purchased Web root because I read several reviews saying it was one of the best for internet security. Free applications are okay, but all the ads for upgrades were becoming a nuisance.

> 3 dayUpon initial install Id have to say Im very impressed and quite pleased with this product. Most of my reviews include the detail that Im legally blind. Being visually limited is often a major factor when I select technology based products. It must be easy to use and easy for me to see as well. Webroots Internet Security Complete gets high marks on both ease of use and ease of viewing. I had been using Microsoft Security Essentials since 2013 and felt it left a lot to be desired. Over time my computer began to drag, freeze and crash. Admittedly by the five year mark my tower is antiquated but I know how it operates, Im comfortable with it and I was loathe to set it aside for a newer model. Suspecting that Microsofts SE was not covering all the security bases I went in search of a better antivirus software package. I researched different packages, considered the pros and cons of each product and read reviews. Finally I settled on Webroots Internet Security Complete. I chose this level of the product because I wanted all the bells and whistles. I didnt want to regret not having additional options at a later date. As the product name indicates Ive got the complete package. Being old school and not completely trustful of online, software downloads I purchased the CD version of Internet Security Complete. The software installed quickly and easily. During installation it ran its first scan and detected four virus threats. My suspicions were confirmed - SE was not protecting me as Id hoped. Once the threats were removed Internet Security Complete rebooted my system and then ran a Malware scan. Yet another threat was detected. Consider me gobsmacked *and* thrilled by this products quality and effectiveness. Pairing this software up with CCleaner and a more aggressive anti-malware product I am very optimistic that my antiquated tower might still have some processing life in it yet... hopefully many *years* of smooth operation to come. I cant say enough good things about Webroots Internet Security Complete. This is definitely 5 star caliber software in my opinion. Note: Following the instructions at Microsofts website I disabled SE before installing Internet Security Complete.
