I switched the home machines after over a decade from Norton to Webroot and it seems to work fine. We had web performance issues with Norton over the past 2 or 3 years so I switched to this product. It seems our performance is a bit better than under Norton and I like the five pack. I never liked McAfee, even when it came for free on computers and Im not trusting my internet security to a company based in Moscow (Kaspersky).

Installed on Win 7 after some hang-ups probably due to slow/intermittent internet service in rural area - internet connection to website required even with CD. Couldnt install on Win 10 or Vista and took to computer repair with high speed internet. Successful on Win 10 but documentation says Vista (and earlier no longer supported). Seems to work fine and similar to Norton which I had used for over 25 years but need to replace because they no longer support Win 7 or Vista.

The most straightforward, unobtrusive & thorough security software I’ve ever encountered. A perfect choice for an aging parent’s pc, or anyone that doesn’t want to constantly have to figure out how / what / why. All that, and it’s still protected my pc better than Kaspersky, Norton, Mcafee (sp?) and the others! And well-priced if you search.

This is my second year using Webroot. Out I.T . guys recommend it so we got it. I like it because it doesnt use a lot of resources and doesnt slow down the pc. Have it on our pcs and mobile devices. I had problems getting it downloaded to my new phone. Had to call tech support and waited 10 to 15 min. on hold. Tech support was great! The tech walked me through the installation and now we are good to go. I recommend Webroot over Norton or McAfee to name a couple. Its a good program. Instead of getting frustrated just call tech support to get it on your phone. I used the cd on the computers. Called the toll free number for mobile devices. Price is much less here than on their own website.

Installed this program today. The installation was easy. I am impressed with the security that the program offers. Significantly easier and faster than other programs I have used. So far, I am very, very pleased with the installation. I found this program while scanning Amazons website. Initially, I was reluctant to try it. Frankly, I never knew that this program existed. I would definitely recommend it.

I hope its as hard for others to get into as it was for me. I downloaded the trial, liked it so bought this. It installed easily and scanned fairly quickly, then sent me to website to register and create account. It was picky about combination of characters but finally accepted, sent email providing me with link to complete activation. First it wouldnt accept answer to security question so I had to change it, then it wouldnt accept security code, had to get another email link, wouldnt accept password. Keep in mind that I had written these all on a pad, was carefully typing one finger at a time and you cant see what is typed, just the little dots. Ive spent the whole afternoon, including going through every .... ah, you dont want to hear all this. Its a good program, but you have to activate your account to add the other devices and so far I havent been successful. I would probably give it a 5 if I could solve this but Im tempted to give it one star.

I used the top 2 most popular brands in the past and when my subscription ended for this last company, I decided to try Webroot. My sister has been saying how great it is for years. But I was apprehensive about changing. Boy and I glad I did. It was trivial to install and now my computer comes on so much faster. The scans are faster as well. There are only 2 things I wish were different. One is that the little safe web icons (green check marks) do not appear for Firefox browser. Or at least I was unable to find an add-on extension that would allow it. I do have it on Chrome though. So I do my web searches on Chrome now. Also, I lost a feature from my prior software that had a safe money feature for when I signed onto my bank and investment accounts or used my credit card for a purchase. But Im not even sure what that feature was. So for all I know, it didnt do anything more than Webroot does. Anyway, Im very happy with this change. Only time will tell if I get annoying reminders to renew online toward the end of my subscription. I dont like doing that because the price is always higher that way. I prefer to buy it on Amazon each year to get the best price. That said, it would be nice if the renewal price was competitive with the new purchase price so I didnt have to go through that effort.

Webroot has caught many threats to my computers. It works automatically and can also be worked manually. Their are also some settings that users may choose from that may cover some special concerns. It is fast as it is configured. But I found one threat that it had missed by going directly to the whole operating system, C: drive, and start the app from there. It took a long time to run that way, and it only caught one threat. I plan to use it this way only twice a year. And I will renew my contract soon. UPDATE - 10/17/15: All of the above is or was true, Im jut angry with them. The CD they sent me would not accept the Product Code, the on line help is all robotic. I wasted two hours and got nowhere. Im leaving the 4-STARS posted, but Im sending the software back and changing my digital security to Norton.

I got the CD version. Unfortunately the cd would NOT work. So went online to the website indicated, created account, entered keycode about 1000 times, but could not download. Turns out my windows 10 laptop was in S Mode and would not download anything that wasnt in the Microsoft Store. Pain in the..... So had to figure out how to get out of S mode, which was a trip considering I had no idea what s mode even WAS or that I was even IN S-Mode. Once I figured out how to get out of S-Mode I was able to complete my account and download Webroot Secure Anywhere. Phew!!! I think I screwed around for at least an hour, maybe more, when I thought it was going to be quick and easy. But then again, is anything easy nowadays???? But I checked, and Webroot is installed, and it even did a scan, so I think Im protected. And I can click on it and manually scan if I want. That is SO MUCH BETTER than the Norton I just uninstalled, which I was never ever sure was ever doing anything. Every time I ever tried to click on it to check status, I would just get ads. So in any event, I think I will like Webroot, and hopefully the PTSD from trying to download it will subside eventually!!

Ive been using this fr years on both my iMac and my Win 10 laptop. It does a great job at detecting viruses and malware. It does not tie up resources like other similar programs do. And its a great value covering 5 computers for one low price.
