> 3 dayI regret ever trying this product. They decided to retire their app and create a new one. The key code they provided for current customers to switch apps was EXPIRED so I went months without ANY security. I purchased a new version with a physical card with a new key code and it was EXPIRED too. Calling the company for help is futile. There is no way to reach a human being, they just keep repeating the same useless instructions over and over until you disconnect the call. Never again.

> 3 dayI did not get paid nor did I receive a discounted price or free product for this review. I purchased this product because I was in need of some additional protection on my laptop. I read many various reviews and I ran into webroot. I was attracted by their price point, the length of the subscription and the ability to protect 5 different devices. I personally only use it for 2 devices currently- two laptops. I believe there is also an app that you can download for your phone. I tried it and it wasnt what I expected; to my knowledge its simply a secure browser. I dont find much use for that, I prefer using bing personally. So that was a slight con. Aside from that, this product has been great so far. It has protected me against quite a few issues. It is very responsive. It is easy to scan your computer and it is quite quick. On one of the laptops, there were MANY known issues (detected from my previous software) and this was able to clear that up for the most part. All in all a very good product for the price. I recommend it.

> 3 daySuper value - Webroot wanted $49 to renew my service. I let it expire, bought this version, deleted the old one, and voila - - works perfectly. What Webroot doesnt want you to know is that this program is automatically updated VIA the cloud, hence you always have the latest version. Shopping around does pay, and Amazon once again comes through. (Same thing happened last year; Webroot wanted $39 to renew, bought it here for $19.) Many software security programs (i.e. Iolo System Mechanic) allow you to renew at a nominal fee - - like $14.95, but for some reason Webroot wants to take you to the cleaners! Must be a lot of commissioned salespeople in that company . . . .!

> 3 dayCheap and works well I have 6 or 7 computers using this product. I find it on sale at Frys all the time for 10 to 15 bucks for 5 user license. The best thing is how quick it starts up in windows. Norton used to take 2 to 5 minutes to start when I booted into windows 7, this Webroot takes less than a minute. Kept virus clear for over a year and a half on all my comp. Forget about support - took a week to get back to me. I wanted to report a bogus website (someone cloned PAYPAL and nailed me) they have no where to report dangerous websites. Other than that I hope to keep buying it every year ( dont ever renew your subscription with any firewall software they will screw you royal).

> 3 dayFirst I liked the price--upgraded to best package for a lot less than webroot would renew the package I had been using. Webroot offended me with their aggressive renew threats where they tried to force me to renew or uninstall before my subscription was out. It was relatively easy to uninstall and install new program on win7 and even easier on win10.

> 3 dayRuns a very fast and thorough scan on my laptop and was easy to install. Alerts me when I could have a potential problem. And I havent gotten calls from a woman named Doris with a heavy foreign accent that tells me I have a problem with my laptop and she will have it fixed online for only $79.99.....

> 3 day**Update - 6, January, 2015**: Although my original review was a little facetious, I tried to accurately convey the experience that Webroot products leave me with. The review Trolls quickly seized upon the unfavorable commentary and tried to bury it. And somehow, my review from 2014 got transferred to the 2015 software release. For the record, I did not buy the 2015 Webroot Secure Anywhere Complete keycode. Im sure the marketing campaign for this years release is absolutely stellar, while the product is probably only marginally evolved, if at all changed. The feature/benefit lingo is still empty hype, so I dont feel inspired to pay more for something that tells me very little about how it actually works. $70 (on Amazon right now) for something thats likely changed very little from last year - Hell No! Another thing: Webroot tried to swindle me again, a loyal but untrusting customer for several years, for $80, as part of their annual *Special Offer Direct Email* revenue grab, but I didnt bite. They shortly afterward sent a follow up offer of $50 - but still no sale. My keycode did soon expire so I checked Amazon for Webroots latest complete software listing. Its just so easy to double check pricing and make sure Im not getting hosed. It turns out there was something wrong with the 2015 Webroot release/update, not sure exactly what the problem was but they werent selling the 2015 piece yet, so I simply found an offer for a new keycode from one of the unsold 2013 Webroot Complete Security offerings on Amazon. Ended up only paying about $12 bucks or so for exactly what I had before. Yes, I purchased a clearance sale keycode of Webroots Complete Security package for cheap, because for something Im not sure really does all that much Why the hell would I pay full price, which increases every year and likely gets no better? Cloud computing drives costs down across the board, yet these companies sleazily continue to jack prices up out of sheer greed. Sorry, Im not the typical consumer sheep begging for slaughter. **Original Review**:Ive been using Webroot Complete Security for several years; the software use to offer a more dynamic interface that conveyed to users a small semblance of understanding as to what functions it was actually performing during use. Not anymore... the company motto seems to be trust us, and Just click this or that button and well take care of the rest. Reading the back of the installation CD case, were provided with only vague, lazy-consumer-mindset-type benefit statements, such as Analyzes devices and operating systems to detect system issues, and Social network protection including Facebook and Twitter. Nah, really... it does all that? Amazing. And each year this software gets more expensive and provides seemingly less comprehensive service? More on that later. The company seems to have worked to streamline their product and now simply sells activation keys to allow access to some sort of main server that provides the security service; the silent implication is that they believe their consumers to be comfortably ignorant, not interested in learning more about how the product works, and completely trusting of the cloud. Certainly, Im no tech wizard and have little need for vast amounts of technical information, but theres nothing about this products marketing or packaging that distinguishes it from any other security software out there. Lastly, I sign up for the Webroot product, services and special offers email, and each year near renewal time they send me a subscription offer. This year they were slanging key codes to valued, unquestioning consumers for only $80, supposedly the exact package I always buy. I got lucky and only paid $15 for an activation key/disc from Amazon, believing it to be the 2013 update and complete service? Im not 100% percent sure, but the verified purchase indication reflects exactly what Im using this year. All I can tell you is that the virus scans never indicate that any threat had been detected or eliminated, and if my computers do start functioning suspiciously I simply use the factory re-install settings and reset the hard drive. Im a very simple PC user and dont fill up my system with a lot of junk, so that is probably not an option for most heavy users. I back up everything on a jump drive too. If you pay $40 or, even worse, $80 for this software, youre definitely gettin took, but if you pay $15 at least you can say you have some protection... like an invisible prophylactic. Trust me, I have protection ;>)

> 3 dayReceived my Webroot PC security disc as promised It installed easily and at this point in time works seamlessly with my windows operating system. It also seems to have a smaller footprint and my system seems to be working faster then the antivirus software I had been using. I will soon be upgrading to windows 10 so the jury is out how it will work with the upgrade but at this time I am very pleased with my order and Webroot security 2015

> 3 dayI always use Webroot on all of my home computers. There are Apple and Microsoft computers being used in our family household and Webroot protects them all You let us know if the website we are trying to open is actually a threat to our computers.Thank you once again Webroot.
