> 3 dayInstalled this program today. The installation was easy. I am impressed with the security that the program offers. Significantly easier and faster than other programs I have used. So far, I am very, very pleased with the installation. I found this program while scanning Amazons website. Initially, I was reluctant to try it. Frankly, I never knew that this program existed. I would definitely recommend it.

18-04-2025I want to start by saying that I am in no way an expert about computers or software. I installed this yesterday on my laptop computer. About an hour after installation, I got a visual and a verbal message from a scam. A large box popped up and a womans voice said, Hello Comcast customer. You are one of two customers chosen today to win an iphone 8 (there were also three other choices) The only way to get out of it was to click OK so I had to shut the computer down to get out of it. On the Webroot package it has a list of protections including: 1.Blocks fake websites that can steal your personal information, 2. warns you of potentially dangerous sites and links before you click. I guess I find it strange that this happened an hour after Webroot was installed after never seeing anything like this before. I dont know what this means but it has diminished my faith in this product.

> 3 dayIve been using Webroots product for the last 10 months, and due to the fact that my laptop is still free of any issues is a testament to the effectiveness of this product and my careful web surfing. Im not a digital techy, so I cant give you the nuts and bolts of why this has been working so well. I can tell you that Webroot works so quickly and seamlessly in the background that you have to check now and then that its still engaged. Ive used Norton, McAfee, and Kaspersky over the years and found that they were either memory hogs, or run slowly robbing resources, and sometimes both. What I find frustrating is that online reviews of virus, etc., software are very unreliable, with many of them being overly complimentary while others pan the very same product. How much influence do these software manufacturers have on these sites that accept advertising? Consumer Reports is probably the most trusted source (accepting no advertising), but they didnt include this Webroot product in their last review. Another frustration is that when its time to renew, manufacturers, including this one, start sending reminders at least 60 days in advance of the end of the service period. Their offer for renewal never shows the best price available, so shopping again for the same software online is strongly recommended. I dont have any issue with the product, but the marketing schemes used by these companies is anti-consumer, especially toward their existing customers. Ever felt that way about your cable company or your cell phone provider? Do software manufacturers really want to be lumped with cable companies occupying the bottom of the list of trusted service providers?

> 3 day4th year for using Webroot. Highly recommend. I ignore the Webroot attempts to get you to purchase from them and buy from Amazon. If you activate a new keycode note: you will not lose current subscription time, it simply adds on the new subscription to it. To install it is simple: Open the Webroot window on your desktop, go to My Account and click on the wheel to the right of it. This brings up an open section to enter your NEW KEYCODE, click on Activate below and you are done. If you have the actual software disc which I prefer, you do not have to use it, just the keycode. Several reviews have wrestled with this. Never have had a security issue with this software!

> 3 dayThis is my second year using Webroot. Out I.T . guys recommend it so we got it. I like it because it doesnt use a lot of resources and doesnt slow down the pc. Have it on our pcs and mobile devices. I had problems getting it downloaded to my new phone. Had to call tech support and waited 10 to 15 min. on hold. Tech support was great! The tech walked me through the installation and now we are good to go. I recommend Webroot over Norton or McAfee to name a couple. Its a good program. Instead of getting frustrated just call tech support to get it on your phone. I used the cd on the computers. Called the toll free number for mobile devices. Price is much less here than on their own website.

Greater than one weekI hope its as hard for others to get into as it was for me. I downloaded the trial, liked it so bought this. It installed easily and scanned fairly quickly, then sent me to website to register and create account. It was picky about combination of characters but finally accepted, sent email providing me with link to complete activation. First it wouldnt accept answer to security question so I had to change it, then it wouldnt accept security code, had to get another email link, wouldnt accept password. Keep in mind that I had written these all on a pad, was carefully typing one finger at a time and you cant see what is typed, just the little dots. Ive spent the whole afternoon, including going through every .... ah, you dont want to hear all this. Its a good program, but you have to activate your account to add the other devices and so far I havent been successful. I would probably give it a 5 if I could solve this but Im tempted to give it one star.

> 3 dayIve had Webroot virus protection for sometime now and am well pleased with the product. I originally got it from the Best But Geek Squad. I was disappointed in the service I was receiving from the GS and wanted to eliminate them from the equation, so I contacted Webroot directly. I was very happy with the Webroot service. The quality of the product and Webroots willingness to help me is why I purchased this software.

> 3 dayIve used more security programs in the past 15 years than I care to count. Among those that Ive used are Norton, McAfee, Comodo, Kaspersky, AVG, TrendMicro, and Panda. From an IT standpoint all the way to the end user experience, I havent used anything as good as Webroot. Webroot stood out to me because it is a cloud based product. There arent huge virus definition files to update that constantly slow down your computer. The scans are fast. Even on older systems, it can run a scan without you ever noticing a drop in performance. Its an incredibly light program, and certainly not a resource hog like other AV programs seem to always be. Ive never gotten a false positive from the program, and in the 2 years Ive been running it, I havent been infected once. My favorite thing about Webroot? Its an American company, and I love to support America. Most major AV software brands are based overseas. Give it a try - it will most likely be the last AV you ever buy.

> 3 dayI installed this on two Windows based computers with relative ease. However, when I attepted to install it on a Mac, it would not install after many attempts. Each time, despite carefully entering the Keycode, it kept telling me I had the wrong keycode, then it would continue the installation, followed by starting a scan (so obviously I did not have the wrong keycode), then a Threat Detect message popped up which was quickly covered by a window telling me I had the wrong key code. The app would then terminate. I telephoned the support number given by Webroot in response to other negative reviews, and I was told the wait time would be a rediculous 45 minutes. This means that they either do not have a sufficient number of support people to provide meaningful support, or there are so many problems with the software that Webroot is simply overwhelmed. I also suspect that many if not all of the 5-star reviews were directly or indirectly writtem by Webroot. You may have read that this has become a real problem with Amazon reviews. In fact they just filed suit against a company whose only business is being hired by companys like Webroot to provide positive reviews of their products. The company charges a specific fee for each positive rerview. If these were real reviews, one would expect to see reviews covering a range of star ratings. But here, with the exception of two 4-star reviews and the many one-star reviews by real reviewers, all of the ratings are 5-star. This just does not smell legitimate.

> 3 dayWebroot Rocks! I was using just the Antivirus but needed more and it was about to expire. So I bought this, easy install and did not have to use the disc. Just go on the webroot console on pc, look for My account. Click the gear next to it, it will say enter new key code. Then click activate, it will upgrade you to internet security complete and you will start another year 5 Devices! Very good software! Fast Scans, Always up to date using the cloud. You Never have to click Update! NICE! Windows defender is cloud based but you still have to click update. This is Real Time software and Identity Protection ! NICE!
