I need to return my two smart plugs. Both wont allow me to set up the sunset and sunrise times for on and off. It keeps reverting back to the 15 minute timer. Also, even when I try to use the light without any settings such as the timer, etc., the light simply turns itself off at random times. This does this even if I simple turn on the light using no other functions. I would like to return these, but I dont know how to do it. I didnt put the plugs into service for a month or so after they arrived so I apparently went over the window for returns. I would like the seller to contact me to work something out. I will change the star rating to 5 if the return process works well. Thank You.

These work very well with my lamps. I would give them 5 stars but I thought the directions to link w/the Echo could be a little more clear; it wasnt too difficult though, just took a few minutes.

These plugs work great! I have my entire house integrated with Alexa. Every lamp in the house is connected with one of these. Theyre smaller than other products, so they take up less space on your outlet, and theyre consistently reliable with my WIFI network. The only thing I wish they would change, about the design (which is a problem with all of the smart plugs) is that they extend the plug and make it challenging to plug directly into the wall. Basically, they make your cord stick way out from the wall, and make it challenging to push furniture up against the outlet. To get around this, I often use power strips or extension cords, to I can push my furniture against the wall. Overall...Im super happy with these. Theyre a great price, for what you get.

So far so good. Setup was a snap, took less than 15 minutes to get two units up and running. Using these to control TVs used for digital signage at a school -- created a schedule for the desired hours and so far is working exactly as expected. The ability to set up once only sessions or simply turn on/off on demand -- even from a remote location -- is great for the times when theres an event outside regular school hours when the display being on would be nice. UPDATE 1/30/18 -- both units have started to operate on the schedules programmed. Connectivity is not an issue as the unit can be toggled on/off readily. But after multiple days of systems staying on overnight we need to find a more reliable solution.

Summary Pros: -Google Home compatible after downloading the SmartLife app and linking to your assistance -No need for additional steps/requests (turn on x outlet works immediately) -quality outlets at a competitive price -No lag in turning on (though my Home is near the outlets so perhaps distance may affect this in further rooms) Cons: -only one Smart plug will fit in a traditional 2 outlet setup (however you CAN stilluse the 2nd outlet with a traditional plug) Full review: Being brand new to home assistants (specifically Google Home) I purchased this Smart Plug set of 2 as a trial based on the price. I do not have a hub and have heard mixed reviews of hubless items- specifically that they are not as easy to direct and require an additional request. This turned out to not be the case and Im definitely ordering more! First: packaging is simple yet effective. Each comes in its own box with instructions, paired in a little bag. Setup was simple. I decided to test one on my fish tank light. Once plugged in it immediately entered setup mode (instructions for reset to use elsewhere are of course provided) then I downloaded the SmartLife app through Google Home. After a simple click to add a new device it located the outlet and I was able to name it. This was the big test. I had heard non-hub devices require you to ask Google to access the app before requesting to turn on the device but this was not necessary. You simply ask to turn on x light and immediately it does so. Im very pleased at this product and highly recommend it! Just keep in mind that you can only use one smart plug in an outlet as the diameter is too large to fit two (however this DOES NOT block you from being able to use the other outlet with a traditional plug). Smart home, on a budget!

I work nights. A lot of times its dark when I get home. Its nice to turn a light on so Im not walking in in the dark. I dont like to leave a light on all day, so Im able to turn it on right before I walk in my apt.

Edit 11/11/17: Downgraded to 3 stars after having used these for some time. I still like it, and think its still value for money considering the other products out there. The issue Im having is its glitchy. Sometimes goes offline for no reason, requiring me to unplug and replug. And the timer function is only about 80% reliable- sometimes plain does not turn on. Have not identified any trends, its a cr@pshoot- some day lights turn on and some days they done. And often unplugging and replugging rectifies it for a few weeks. The Alexa function and phone control seem to be reliable so long as plug is online- but I wouldnt trust the timer for vital systems. Original post: Frankly, Im blown away and one part of me is still waiting for something to fail but it hasnt yet. Cheap, small, simple device with quick set up. Just plug it in, download the app to phone, connect the two and youre good to go. The app allows for basic functions like timer etc; scenes that can be triggered by sunset/sunrise, humidity etc- but have not experimented with these functions yet. Once you assign a name for each plug, works seamlessly with Alexa. And for less than 30 bucks for two, seems like a bargain compared to the other branded ones. Instruction manual wasnt helpful, with the usual bad English, but its not hard to figure out. Bought a 2nd set.

Convenient but feels like it is missing some functionality. Cant get it to pair with IFTTT which would be nice to be able to turn lights off when I leave the house. First order had a dud but the company was quick in shipping me out a new one. Great customer service.

I waited a long time for these, but they were worth the wait!!! I am a low tech person and I managed to get them set up and linked to Alexa. They work great. I am enjoying using voice commands to turn things on and off.

These are great easy to program. When my internet went down for a while (a week) half my Smart Plug devices had to be reprogrammed as when they were new and couldnt use them all week. They really really need to add a local server app for people who want to use these without internet. Pros: I really love the convenience of being able to turn stuff on and off from cell phones, tablets, or even windows desktops using Memu with the Tuya Smartlife app loaded. Since they go through an internet server, you can turn off (or on?) the lights at your home from wherever your cell phone is. Cons:When the internet is down they wont work. Since they go through an unknown nebulous internet server they wont work without internet and present a security risk that others might turn your stuff on and off from the server. There is also the issue of what happens if the server they are speaking to ever goes away so what all of these devices in the world will stop working?
