> 3 dayMy first venture into using our Dot to control a few things. Took a few minutes to set up and I did that twice. Set the smart outlet app up first and the app was ok, It has the on/off action just like a light switch. Next I went to the Skill in Alexa for these plugs, and set them up in Alexas Smart Home settings. All went well, Quality seems excellent, Where I plugged in one it made the outlet a little hard to use the second outlet (my strange plug), I just added a connector, one of those short plugs with 3 places to plug something in and it solved the problem. In playing around as when we are on vacation I dont trust our router to stay on all the time so I use one of those lights on/off timers to reset it in the early AM. I my brilliant thinking, I tried the second plug to see if it would work away from home to reset the router. (bad idea you figure it out, I dont recommend trying it). It is cool that you can control lights or other things remotely using the apps.

> 3 dayI love these!! The directions weren’t super helpful but I figured it out easily enough. Download the app for the plugs first then use your log in from that app to connect to Alexa. Super awesome to say, “Alexa turn on the lamp!” And she does! Haha

> 3 dayWell, it is a rare day I give anything a 1 star, these plugs finally earn their place. Im relatively tech savvy, been at this a few decades and with Alexa have had no real issues except a few minor burps with a couple of Phillips Hue light bulbs that needed resetting per seriel number. Then theres these plugs, not my first Alexa plugs but had hopes theyd be just right where I was going to connect them with the Smart Home. After several plug outlets, several attempts, and trying in every location nothing ever is discovered, never connected, just the definitiion of insanity ringing in my head. Now I will have to do one thing I absolutely dispise, return a product. Theres some 5 star reviews where these things appear to operate great, others where they shut down sometimes, and others where they simply did not work. Looks like I got the simply did not work set as both fall into this most disappointing of categories. Like a casino slot machine, it looks like you have to buy these at your own risk and hope you get a pair that work consistently. Good luck!

> 3 dayThese work great and the software that controls them works great with my iPhone. You can set up to 720 on/off cycles per day ((24 hrs/day * 60 minutes per hour) / 2 for on/off) with the same setting for each day or different settings for different days. I use it as a security light to randomly turn on and off the lights through the night. It also interfaces with my Alexa, thus giving me the option to manually control the plugs from either my iPhone or from Alexa. Setting it up is easy, although there is no documentation that states it only interfaces with 2.4GHz wifi networks. I initially tried setting it up with my 5GHz, but it only gave me frustration. Once I figured out to use the 2.4, everything went great.

> 3 dayI bought these as a gift for a friend. When I tried to set them up, I found that his Spectrum-installed router had assigned the exact same name to both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi bands. for some reason, the band selected always defaults to the 5GHz. I was unable to find a way around the issue. I kept them, and they work perfectly on 2.4GHz at my home.

> 3 dayOverall Its a good product but after a few months one of the two plugs died. I still have 1 plug and it still works as intended after 2 years

> 3 dayThese plugs work great! I have my entire house integrated with Alexa. Every lamp in the house is connected with one of these. Theyre smaller than other products, so they take up less space on your outlet, and theyre consistently reliable with my WIFI network. The only thing I wish they would change, about the design (which is a problem with all of the smart plugs) is that they extend the plug and make it challenging to plug directly into the wall. Basically, they make your cord stick way out from the wall, and make it challenging to push furniture up against the outlet. To get around this, I often use power strips or extension cords, to I can push my furniture against the wall. Overall...Im super happy with these. Theyre a great price, for what you get.

> 3 dayThey hooked up and worked great for about a month, but then they quit responding to Alexa, and then they went totally off-line. After fighting with them for about an hour, I got them both back online (one went immediately back off though). The one that is still online is not discoverable by Alexa anymore though, so I am stuck using my phone to turn it off and on. Sucks. Now I have the hassle of trying to return this junk through Amazon. Update: a half hour after the first one disconnected for the second time, the second one disconnected again as well. I got on YouTube and verified I was doing everything right. AVOID THESE PLUGS!
